Lane hogging, not indicating, not using mirrors, using all lanes on a roundabout, indicating incorrectly, using mobile phones, stopping without warning, not stopping, not looking, ..............

I don't think you can single out any particular group of road users. There are bad examples everywhere. Isn't that what the hazard perception part of a theory test is about? From experience, there are too many people who are selfish and ignorant to others... car drivers around schools (mums and teachers)..... teenagers on peds... and foreign students on bicycles in Cambridge. Personally I take an instant dislike to any vehicle which puts my vehicle in danger. I say vehicle because it is not personal - they don't know me and I don't know what has caused their lack of concentration.

		Blind spots

Violence is never the answer when using the road - surely as bikers we should be anticipating not being seen, expecting the not so unexpected. After having a front wheel skid a couple of years ago I always prepare to stop at a side road. I find myself looking for safe exits out of danger now just in case. In any case this thread was to highlight the dangers of blind spots - not to encourage road rage.

I like my leathers! I have no issue re road tax on bicycles. How much damage is caused to the road by them? 1 square inch per bike touching the road if that. BUT when the cyclist insists on riding on the wrong side, jumping up and down the pavement, running red lights, or crashes into the side of my car, that is when other road users start asking about insurance and being competent to be on the road. Same goes for the fuckwit who drives while texting, or the biker who races through the village at 60+! Oh, and did I mention I like leather?!?

And all the other ones who appear to have no knowledge of the Highway Code in general. IE 90% of the ones in Cambridge. Why shouldn't they have to pass a proficiency test and hold basic insurance? And dare I bring up the omissions produced by cyclists speeding up their digestive system?!? [emoji100][emoji100]

Great looking bike! Love the Matt black detailing. I teased myself last week by having a brief go on one at my local Camrider's

		Hung up my leathers

Crap news that OT. At least you seem to be keeping hold of a sense of humour and who knows doctors have been known to make errors in the past - my dad was given 6 months and had just over 6 years! Bugger the pint - I could do with some new boots.... you're not a size 8 are you??

		GPR Exhaust on XT125R

Not wishing to be contrary, but as this equation shows, it is unlikely to achieve 90 from beachy head:

		Fatter rear tyre SR125

I'd also look at the cost of a non standard tyre - average for a half decent rear on an sr, including fitting is around £100

		2015 Southend Shakedown

Thinking about it myself, looks like I'll be on 'l' plates too and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one. Not too sure about enjoying the north circular road though. Need to check with SWMBO as to any plans with the boys that I'm not privy to.
