  1. Eeew - there's a joke about dental floss in there somewhere!!
  2. Just as fast but without all the noise!
  3. Why not - I 'broke' my second hand leather trousers in around the house lmao!
  4. I'll try that first thing in the morning, tho she's only starting on half choke at the moment. Fingers crossed she'll start again! Really need to get to work on it so the mrs has the car to get our youngest to play group! That will at least give me the weekend to start at the very beginning of the list!
  5. Courtesy of Wikipedia: A video blog or video log, sometimes shortened to vlog[1] (pronounced 'vlog' or 'v-log') is a form of blog for which the medium is video,[2] and is a form of web television. Vlog entries often combine embedded video (or a video link) with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts. The vlog category is popular on YouTube.
  6. Good effort. Again, not my bag - I'm with Noise on this - catch someone falling etc and all is good!!
  7. After using a blow torch (cheers Jason!!) I got her firing up! She won't idle properly and keeps stalling. I double checked the pilot screw and it is 2 turns out the throttle stop screw is virtually all the way in. This is making idle very fast but even small movements out causes a stall. A quick ride up and down the garden is fine until I stopped, then she stalled without me blipping the throttle. Possibly time for a carb strip or could this still point at a CDI issue? Thanks again for all your inputs!
  8. I know - just starting mouth before engaging brain! Why is it when I need the boys to settle quickly and stop messing around they won't?!
  9. Just a thought but for the past few months, when I've had to switch to reserve tank it has taken several yards before she's fired back up. Before this I hardly ever let it run to reserve. Also, the last tank I put in was premium, not regular unleaded. Would this have made a difference? Clutching at straws while getting my boys sorted lol!
  10. As soon as the boys are in bed I'll use jump leads with the neighbours car as all the attempts to start has drained the battery over yesterday and tonight. I'll keep you posted!
  11. Thanks for that - ill try heating the plug first with a blow torch. Sounds the quickest thing to try and it's peeing it down now!!
  12. The rear wheel almost skids on the wet so I think compression is good.
  13. Yeah, fuel is getting through and I am in need of oxygen after attempting a bump start, just as before!!
  14. New spark plug and getting really good blue spark. Just not firing Time to check the flywheel me thinks! Even tried half a dozen attempts at bumping in 2nd!
  15. I figured a £5 plug to start with! I'll stop stressing about the expense of the rest for now!!
  16. Looks like I can't get away with trying to turn the flywheel through the inspection hole then
  17. Thanks for that. I was putting the poor starting down to needing a service and damp cold mornings. I'll try a new plug tomorrow and keep everything crossed!
  18. Cheers for that. I can get a finger in and I cannot turn the flywheel so I'm hoping that means the woodruff key is good. I'll get the casing off tomorrow and check properly.
  19. And I was thinking yours sounded better!
  20. Forgive my ignorance but is the flywheel behind this: If this is it, do I need to remove the casing, or should I be able to see by removing fig 1 and 2? My torch is beginning to fail now so I'm struggling to see anything!
  21. I think it's a video blog??
  22. Most of the chain had rolled off but the last few inches were stuck behind the drive sprocket casing.
  23. Didnt lock the back wheel up, by the time I had pulled over onto the hard shoulder I had already hit the engine stop so honestly don't know for sure.
