  1. Hi All, HELP! I have a 2004 XVS650 and under the advice of a friend decided to adjust the clutch with a clutch adjustment kit. Having done so, I am faced with the following issue: The clutch no longer disengages when the clutch lever is pulled in. Starting the bike in neutral, with the handbrake held down, pulling the clutch lever and then shifting to first the bike immediately lurches and stalls. So, I removed the adjustment kit and brought it back to stock. I have since adjusted the front and rear adjuster nuts into as many combinations as I have had time to do (both extremes, loose and tight, both loose, both tight, in the middle, and so forth) however while the level becomes looser/tighter/has more or less free play the behaviour remains the same - lurch and stall despite the clutch lever being pulled to the maximum extent of its movement. It was all working fine before I started meddling - I rode it one day ago, the weather is neither cold, nor wet. What should my next move be? Thanks in advance for your forbearance and apologies for muffing up the thread title.
