  1. Thanks a lot, Kearnsey! Did you buy a fresh O ring seal for the oil filter or use the one that came off? Is that a speacialist part?
  2. Hi All, I'm going to do the unthinkable (for me) and with the help of a clued-up mate, change the oil and filter on my 1998 Thunder Cat. I've had a look on ebay, and was wondering which materials to use. Should i go for K+N oil filter, a 'regular' oil filter, or a Yamaha filter? Also, which oil do you guys recommended? Many thanks, Steve
  3. Hi all, I'm Steve, from Lancashire and i ride a 1998 'S' reg Thundercat, (Red/Black/White) and a Benelli Tornado RS. This is the 2nd 'Cat i've had, having parted company with my first ( another 1998 'S' reg, Black/Silver/Orange) in a head-on collision with a Lexus in 2000. Well, if you're going to do it, do it in style! Although probably best not at 100mph minimum closing speed... Whilst i couldn't get out on the other 'Cat enough (12,500 miles in the 14 months i had it), the one i have now is a low mileage beauty that i'm trying to keep that way (10,025 miles), although it's difficult! I've just changed the battery (bluddy alarms...) and have changed the fork seals/oil since i bought the bike. Anyway, that's about it. Cheers, Steve
