  1. I'd go SBS for the pads, and probably EBC for the discs
  2. Obviously a completely unbiased, impartial decision there Any thoughts on opening this up to the Facebook group?
  3. If that's with the engine warm I'd say that's got too much oil in it for one. Milky oil is usually an indicator of water in it. If it's been recently serviced I would be taking it back to the garage that did the service.
  4. I think so yeah. I'll double check the route at some point and maybe tweak it a bit.
  5. I'm working till 2 so sometime in the evening I guess. Early enough for beer and food
  6. Camping booked for Matlock!
  7. I'll give them a ring tomorrow then
  8. Not yet. Are they taking a lot of bookings?
  9. Sounds good, I think I'm free that weekend
  10. Tempting, bit early start time wise for me though!
  11. Nothing to contribute I'm afraid
  12. Same engine as my DT. It's common to remove the snorkel but it won't get you anywhere power wise, just more induction noise. As regards jetting, I ran a Big one system on mine and more recently a DEP with stock jetting and that was fine. I'd recommend returning the air screw to standard setting and see how it runs then. I think it's 1 and a 1/4 turns out from lightly seated. It would be worth checking the powervalve alignment too. For the earth of the green/black wire I crimped a ring terminal on it then bolted it to the radiator frame. Mine tops out around 75mph with a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket.
  13. Fine by me. I'd prefer a single place to stop. Might hire a van so I can chuck the DT in.
  14. As for a speedo, you're probably best to go aftermarket. It's a common change on those bikes. Trailtech Vapour is a popular choice. I've got one on my DT.
  15. That's the one. You can't have too many bank holidays
  16. Thoughts for dates to go? I suggested August bank holiday weekend on FB to drewpy. How's that for everyone?
  17. Some bikes (my 675 Triumph included), prefer to run at absolute minimum in the expansion tank. I wouldn't fill it to max in either case. Just above the minimum line should be enough then see what happens

    Tool question.

Haha I do need to invest. I've got an older DeWalt that I use a fair bit but it's a bit chunky so not great for access

    Tool question.

Lazy fekker Do you pretend you're an F1 pit crew?
  20. Are there any bleed points on the system at all?
  21. I'd say the carbs need taking off then, and a good clean. The choke circuits are probably blocked. If you can find somewhere that does ultrasonic cleaning I'd recommend that
