  1. Well if both those things are bosted you'll never get it to run. However I'd say it's unlikely that both components would break at the same time. Do you have a wiring diagram? I'd be looking for a common connection between the 2. I'm assuming your battery is in good nick and fully charged? Does the engine turn over off the starter but not fire?
  2. Those TWs are proper funky. But of a rarity over here and most are in really rough condition. Yours looks very clean though, nicer climate and all that! Glad you got the DT sorted
  3. Sounds like you need a wiring diagram
  4. Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you have a good project, start a thread in the projects section and throw some pics up! As for the frame no, don't the police etc sometimes use acid to show numbers that have been ground off? Might be worth looking into

Have you tried Google for a manual? There's a couple of sites that have them for free.
  9. Kill switch, sidestand switch, neutral switch maybe?
  10. No. Why have you started another topic on this? I suggest you go over to the new members area and introduce yourself

I thought the pipe looked a bit strange lol. How else is it restricted?

    Looks awesome, sounds mint too
  14. Normally I'd suggest looking at the regulator/rectifier but as you've said the light runs directly off the stator. I'd double check and clean all the connections from the lamp back to the stator and also clean up the earth points. Do you have a tester that can measure how many volts you're getting at the lamp?
  15. If it's a common problem then I don't see why it would fail a MOT. Best thing would be to give your local tester a ring and ask
  16. Are you missing any spacers or washers? Does the pressure plate only go on one way?

Love the panniers on the red one lol
  18. Take it to a local bike shop or garage, I'm sure they'd be happy to tack something on for you for a tenner

Crankcase breather, definitely not a problem. Just tuck it up out of the way

Either a fuel overflow or crankcase breather. Usually a little bracket that holds them in place, nothing to worry about
  21. Have you checked the reeds?
  22. Plenty of flushing and a magnetic plug as above. You might be lucky, presumably it's been on the way out for a while so might only be small pieces not big lumps

Nice work, I'm keeping my eye out for a similar deal. Some bargains to be had out there.
