thats what i was thinking but the engine vibrates quite alot but when i feel the side on the barrel when its indicating its red not its still not hot to touch butthe outside casing is cracked on the water pump not a big one but its noticeable

plugs as dirty as it always is so no cracks yam dealers want 60 quid for it, i cant find any other ones online any ideas?

sweet, none has came out since i put it in yesterday still at the top of the rad i know something bad is wrong though the bike just vibrates loads

well when i flushed the engine i poured water through and had the bolt out so it went from the rad out the bottom of the pump fine so i put the bolt in and filled it with coolant and i will let you know about the oil tomorrow when i strip the bike

i filled it up with coolant yesterday then started it all the coolants still in there non came out anywere

going to do it tomorrow ive got work soon on night shifts got a week off starting tomorrow though ganna strip her down then

it was working fine without a thermostat in i just took a little longer to warm up now it just shoots to red as soon as i go down 1 road

ive removed the thermostat weeks ago because it was rusted and broken and great looks like im goin to need a new top end =(

ive had water in my bike because it wasn't cold for weeks but because of this weather it froze everywere in my bike theres no cracking on my engine but i suspect my water pump is destroyed ive put coolant in it now and ever since that day my bike temp will shoot up to red within minutes =/

im going to spray my plastics and get my swing arm chrome i was just wondering would the plastics flake quick or would it be fine ill do a proper job on them anyway and can anyone find the light blue spray paint the nice dt blue i have some horrible dark blue plastics atm ganna get a dep exhaust to go with my swing arm and i might powder coat my frame i haven't decided yet

ive heard it all now a 125 hitting 120mph mine only does 65 pushing 70 and i only have a dep end can the front pipes old and stock filled with carbon deposits i still need to get it out but seriously dt's dont go that fast i mean when power valve kicks in it does move fast but thats about it after 65 im only learning on this anyway once i got another years no claims i have my eyes on a wr

i need to pick a few minds here what would you all say is the best exhaust for me to get on my dt i want the best performance gains i don't mind re jetting i was thinking of a dep as i already have the silencer i just want to know if there any other ones that are noticeably different

it seems fixed now done 70 miles atm slowly wearing it in but ill do that tomorrow just in case thanks for the heads up

when i put it back together it would overheat after 10 mins on riding so i was thinking and i remembered when i took the thermostat out and had to ask you guys what way it went in lol but i remembered it was rusty so ive removed my one and it works perfect it just takes a little longer to warm to ideal temp ive called a yam dealer and supriseinly its a 35 pound part from them and ebay its 40 quid without p&p so i think ill take a ride up to yamaha in bedworth and get a new one just thought idd post this so if anyone else is having this problem they have a possible answer sorted

i had not long got the bike the chain didn't look the best but when i took the engine out i coated it in wd40, wemoto have a d.i.d heavy duty for 35 quid im going to get that is the front sprocket i need to get with less teeth for better acceleration?

owch i would of been gutted lol hop fully have her back on road within a week depending on delivery

just the flywheel cover and bolts it wouldn't be as bad if i could just find some, recon i could get away with putting any old bolts in? as long as i have the main gasket on it should be alright? defo getting a new chain tho this one looks like its had its life.

my chains snapped in half, it went on a mad one and ruined my casing, 3 bolts have fell out and gotten lost and the others are all bent does anybody know any were i can get some new ones for cheap? i cant find them anywhere and a new/used casing would be good too.

i'll try and help as much as i can don't know loads but ive just recently got a dt 125 and stripped it down took the engine out replaced the topend and cleaned everything up its now back together and running perfect just waiting for this snow to go so i can start running it in! post any pics and ill take a look i know all the basic components of a 2 stroke bike but want to learn more about tuning. good luck

i was just wondering is the cable by the gearbox air valve for the rev counter it has a screw in top instead
