    Best Guess?

Hi Slice there's a guy named preload on here, who has just completed a resto on a 350b really nice example too, he might give you a good estimate he posted some pics to me in a thread the bar, xs400 unleaded, could be worth a look.

I don't know if this is the same problem a mate of mine had years ago, he went for months before found it was a bit dirt in the filler cap blocking the breather vent next time it happens just remove filler cap, refit if it starts that could be it.
  9. never mind there's always another year, and you get to look it anytime you like anyway.
  10. I know what you mean about cooking bippo its not camping if you don't cook and it helps pass the time. i booked a campsite in wales for the 27th April (dry run) but then realized the Stafford show is on that weekend so i might just go their & camp should be a good weekend all day looking at auto jumble, my son will be board stiff but i love it.
  11. i'll take look, bought a few things from there in the past, usually pretty good quality stuff. many thanks
  12. you should put that forward for the YOC calendar cover in the bar iv'e not seen one before, looks superb everything you want in a classic yam. I'd like that in my living room just to look at
  13. cheers everyone, some good ideas there I hadn't thought of. My favorite has to be the human antifreeze enough of that and we won't need much else already got my tent, nothing special but is a double skin will be taking mp3 but i'm leaving the satnav at home, don't think i'll need it on the isle of man. Probably not do much riding just plan on sitting outside pub with the bike flying past can anyone recommend a good pub to watch the TT ?
  14. have a look at the thread in the bar forum "can you help" see if there are any members in your area who can show you how to service your bike and keep it safe if your a women and might not feel save doing that, meaning meeting some random bloke off the interweb have a look at the members list, there may be other women members in your area who can show you what you need to do. if your a guy i apologize i am not inferring anything, i'm going to stop digging this hole now bye and good luck whatever you are
  15. hey bippo, bet your glad you put your trip back till May looking at the weather. I'm going to do a one night stay in wales in April to test out my tent & gear should realize what iv'e missed then, got similar set up to you with tank bag and soft panniers, tent across back only difference is i'll have my son on the back we're off to the TT in may just for long weekend, you'll have a fantastic time on Cornwall trip wish i had the time to spare for a trip like that. i'll post some pics when i get back look forward to seeing yours
  16. Hi everyone, planning a camping trip soon, not done camping on bike before, need camping list ideas iv'e done a list but could do with some suggestions i'm limited on space & weight obviously, but looking at my list can't help thinking iv'e missed something
  17. as Slice said any bike older than ten years old could be effected, i'm just using the higher octane premium grade unleaded, the consensus seems to be that its ethanol free FOR NOW you should be o.k i'm also going to change my fuel line co's its easy & cheap to do & you have to start somewhere.
  18. slice i will look it too the more on it the better co's as you say its easy miss a thread
  19. if your not completely confident about attempting it yourself you can still save bit of cash by removing the wheel and just taking to your local garage should save a bit of cash on labor
  20. never had a 2 stroke, my brother had an rd200 and that little thing was quick he was a spot in the distance when i had my XS250 have you got any pics of the 350B sounds good ?

    gears

anyway just keep tapping down on on the gear shift with the clutch pulled in till it hit bottom, you can tell cos it will feel more solid than when changing down through the gears then do one short shift up that should neutral if not check all the above as kirriepete so kindly mentioned welcome to YOC, good luck with the bike
  23. i remember dropping in to see an old mate who i hadn't seen in years. I knocked on the door in my bike gear helmet took'd under my arm, his mother inlaw opened the door looked me up & down & said "oh your on a bike" i said "no i came on the bus" Jimmy my mate was stood behind her, thought this was hilarious and still takes the mick out of her about it.
  24. now that's a nice bike i was almost tempted to bid no one of those last week on ebay but couldn't really cos iv'e just booked to go to tt in may and i think the wife would have killed me if i spent the mortgage money again it looked just like that one did you get it on ebay ? oh and thanks for unleaded feedback I will fill up on premium unleaded next time out when all the snow has gone
