Thanks for the replies, but how do you bleed the system if you drain the oil?

Hi, can anybody tell me if it's ok ( and if it is what is the best way ) to change the 2 stroke oil in my DT. I don't know what oil it is using at the moment but I bought a good quality oil and would feel better using it. Thanks for all the replies to my previous post about the bike stalling, it just past mot at dealers they checked the bike but couldn't find anything wrong with it. Since having it back it seems to idle a bit quicker but no problems when putting it in gear. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies, the bike has been standing for about two weeks perhaps it needs a good run ( if the weather ever breaks ), The gear box oil has recently been changed so perhaps a good run will sort it out.

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me with a problem I have when selecting first gear. The bike starts fine and ticks over but when I select first gear it stalls. The kickstand is up properly and clutch pulled right in when selecting gear. Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks

Hi, I have just bought a 2007 DT 125 RE and wondered if anyone can give me some advice regarding the exhaust. I think it has a standard expansion pipe with a another small silver pipe attached to it. The problem is with the small pipe which was held onto the exhaust with a small jubilee clip ( I think it is damaged where it goes on to the exhaust ). I noticed it was blowing but wondered what would be the best way to attach it or do away with it and seal the point on the expansion pipe it was attached to, or if I bought a dep system what would happen to the pipe left hanging down or does that attach to the dep system. I apologise if it's been asked before but any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi just thought I would introduce myself before asking for some advice. I have just bought a 2007 DT 125 re in black and would like some advice regarding the exhaust but will post in proper section later. I really love the bike and forgot how much fun they are when I had one in my teens ( a long time ago ). So hi to everyone and hope this is a friendly forum with people willing to give good advice as I think I will be needing it!
