1981 SR250 choking at 3000rpm
Hey guys after spending the afternoon with my clapped out sr250 I still cant get her to run right.Shes been sittin for 5 months as I have been ridin the wheels off my XJ900 but the xj is off the road for repairs time to get the putt putt commuter out. Long story short (ill try) I drained the fuel and bowl(fuel still looked and smelt alright) put a battery and fuel in, brand new plug n topped up the oil lubed chain, checked air filter, tyre pressures etc. She started first pop off the starter and I let her idle for about 10 mins and did a lap of the block. Now while it idled mint and revved freely however I wound out second then into third and she choked then stalled.Fired backup straight away and I putted back home. I then pulled the carb checked the jets (all clear) float height checks out fine.Threw it back together and went for a ride same problem.Checked vacume line to petcock and inlet.Pulled the petcock and no blockages (probs only 2 years old) then tried goin for a spin with the tank cap open still nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as its drivin me nuts! Cheers, Stu Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

dt250
Have a look at: http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-dt250a-1974_model8480/partslist/D-09.html Part 20 being throttle cable then splits to 2 cables to oil pump and carby(the lower part you're talking about) which is Part #21 - I am unsure if they reproduce these anymore as many don't run oil tanks(just use premix) so they old stock ones are quit expensive Heres one for $45: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-DT125-DT125C-1976-Lower-Throttle-Cable-New-NOS-OEM-/400591965526?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d45244d56 but I am unsure of the difference between the 125 and 250 cable lengths. Airhead may be able to answer this. Hope this is of some help.

My new daily 1984 XJ900R
Picked up this old girl for 1000 gold coins - 70,000kms(no cam chain rattle yet), new rear tyre, rego, runs and rides pretty nice. Need to get rid of an electrical gremlin (engine goes out sometimes while cruising along at 80km/hr - sometimes I have to pull over and give her a minute before she'll fire again) :S But all in all she's comfy as hell and should be a trusty steed.

HELP! Yamaha SRV 250
So far I've found they were made from 1983-1993. They also made a 'S' version? The run 2x BDS26 Mikuni Carbs - Hyosung GT250 also runs these carbs. Have you tried balancing the carbs? Cleaned the jets/fuel bowls? I'd give them a good clean up before deciding on a rebuild.

1980 Yamaha DX100 - info/parts
Howdi all, dragged home a very sad looking 1980 Yamaha DX100. After picking it up for the small amount of coins i had on the floor of my car I attempted some research...........Cant really find much info at all on it - it looks similar to the YB100 although its definately stamped as a DX100 on the compliance plate. Any info on this find would be greatly appreciated or if you've ever owned one? Some pics:
