  1. That's what i was told by a few reliable sources - could always be wrong. no ideas how much oil is still in the correct side, as it was only one side i opened..and not checked dip stick after 'the incident', it was fine before.
  2. I had only just finished fixing something else that was wrong with it not one hour before this had happened, had to wait fucking ages for parts, put a lot of time and effort into getting it sorted, i go on it for an hour and this happens. At the risk of sounding abit grouchy about it- i have lost all interest.
  3. Just can't be arsed with it lol. Have been looking for/thinking of a new bike for quite some time now, this is the push i need. BTW lovely looking new bike you have, my uncle has a 426 that he is currently trying to get MOT ready, he's not working at it flat out, just when he has time (has full time job, family and keeps livestock). . . . i will be pestering him to sell me it when i am able to do my full license test But as thats a few months shy of two years away i will be getting something else long before then. As far as repairing it gos, it can be done and failing that engine could be changed over, but in all honesty i really cant be fucked to strip it down and get it done.
  4. you can push the kick starter all the way by hand.
  5. Not in workshop as i will NOT be fixing it, just put it up to show everyone really.
  6. just out of curiosity what would cause the engine oil to find its way into the flywheel casing? I knew where to look for the problem as two separate people had suggested that i check the flywheel. Someone suggested that it was some seal that had failed (i can't remember what, crankshaft maybe? i honestly can't remember what was said hahaha) . But long story short it has died a horrible death LOL Here's a photo of the inside.
  7. i say do whatever floats our boat...... I do have a soft spot for SuMo's
  8. Apparently there is a vespa under all that tat
  9. only way i ever afforded it!
  10. to buy a car can be as cheap as you like, HOWEVER to insure it on the other hand...ur gonna get fisted by the insurance brokers
  11. you know you are getting old when insurance is affordable, hell even reasonable!
  12. OHHH MYYY GOD! He is alive!!!! Feeling for you mate, my bikes all fucked up too- fucking xt's lol
  13. jam a bit of duct tape over the light- problem solved! Only kidding i have no idea what to do, but thats a badass looking 50!
  14. LOL i take it grouch hasn't turned up yet?
  15. please refer to above post....
  16. ahh it's too warped to get an exact measurement of what it should be, do you think about 1mm out will be okay, depending on what end i measure it's anywhere between 21mm-22mm diameter. and 124mm and 125mm in length
  17. Sounds like a plan! Gotta do something it's killing me not being able to get around, I'll go and measure it now and have a look!
  18. Still struggling to find the fucker. Might it be the 4th one on this list? It's on the xtR list because i have the enduro wheels so its the R parts i need. If it's not that one would anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction, been off the road for a while now and feel like i'm missing the best part of summer! It's been bloody lovely today
  19. Age, they think that people under the age of about 25 are incapable of moving a car without killing everyone withing 4 miles At those rates you would probably believe me if i said it was to insure an evo 8.....but no, this was for a 1.4 corsa
  20. Feel for you there mate, best car quote i ever got in my own name was like £2300- i sure as fuck don't have two and a half grand too spend on insurance. Luckily for me my folks let me go on theirs (tut tut, yeah i know) but that was still like £1600. After two years a said fuck that and got a bike! Certainly has a lot to do with people not bothering to insure the car, or using a car that is only insured for older people. Most of them look at 2500 insurance compared to maybe 500 in court costs if caught (assuming they don't do anything else like hit someone or something) .... i can kind of see why some might feel that its worth the risk. Personally i know how much hard work i put into getting my car and bike license to bother with that bollocks.
