    xs 750 special cam chain/sprocket???

    have a banging that may or may not be the cam chain.Something was tightened that helped a little.Sound was still there when I parked a few years ago.Increasedwhen bike leaned over side to side.Can I change it on my own,any hints thoughts???????????????looking to bring at back to life.Greg.

    the bike ran fine.Got on it pretty good then a rattle or knocking sound within started worse when bike tipped to the side otherwise ran fine still.Mechanic tightened something to the max helped some but said it may have to be opened up.sounds like where shaft attatches near engine.Bike been sitting now want to get it going again as a restoration.Any info or ideas as to what went? Thanks Greg ANY CHANCE ITS A CAM CHAIN ?
