95 M XJ900S Diversion clutch stall
OK after taking off the cover and stripping out the clutch plates, I have found whats wrong. Basically some rust had formed on the metal plates and the fibre plates were fooked. So now installed a new EBC clutch kit with springs and rubbed down the plates with 180 wet/dry and all is fine. So if you have similar issues then this maybe your culprit!

95 M XJ900S Diversion clutch stall
I don think its the switch as If I try and start it in gear with the clutch depressed, the bike lurches forward

95 M XJ900S Diversion clutch stall
Hi just bought a 900 for a bit of a project to be an upgrade for my 600 which has a few problems. Its been stood for a year but starts on the button but requires a new collector which I'm going to get from Sandy spares. The main problem is that when I try to shift into 1st gear, the bike stalls. I found that the cable was not adjusted by the lever at all so I adjusted it but it made no difference. The clutch fork moves when you depress the lever and it feels like the plates are moving. Its quite low mileage 26k with loads of history ie services so I'm kind of hoping its not the clutch. Any ideas ?

How to XJ600 Diversion front wheel bearing change
My speedo cable snapped and during the change I have noticed that the front bearing does not run as smooth as it should. Any ideas of driving out the old bearings ?

speedo cable snapped ? Grating noise from front 96 XJ600S
On the way to work this morning, I heard a grating noise from the front wheel area that got louder during the 30 miles. Had a visual check but could not find anything. Spun the front wheel over but didnt feel like bearings. On the way home the noise got even louder to I pulled over and again could not find anything wrong. I jumped back on to move to a petrol station and then realised the noise went and now the speedo does not move. I havent had time to take it apart but I assume its the cable ??? Are these a common issue on the divvy? Can it have damaged anything else? Thanks for any replies

New bike 97 XJ600 diversion Any Pit falls ?
Hi guys, just joined as I've just part-ex'd my old 125 after passing my Das recently at the ripe old age of 37! I'm very happy with my new purchase which zips along beautifully. 25k with loads of history. Is there anything I should be looking out for and is timing chain noise a problem on these as I believe I can hear it a little being mechanically minded ? Thanks for your help
