    Haha! Dammit, you got me...
  3. Gorgeous bikes - enjoy it Tommy!

    one for Foamy

Well well... not sure what I was expecting. But not that!
  5. Very nice indeed, Sam! Enjoy it!
  6. My current bike is the same, so as others have said I'm getting into the habit of popping into neutral before stopping as that's the only way. Not had this problem with my other bikes though, at most all I needed to do was slightly roll backwards or forwards until they slipped into neutral.
  7. Sounds great! Count me in for sure. Now, about these t-shirts...
  8. I'd be interested in tagging along for some of it too. Thoroughly enjoyed my camping trip with the ST. I followed a costal path from John o' Groats, westwards. Can't remember where I eventually ended up (Ullapool maybe) but it was sheer bliss.
  9. And your t-shirt was sheer brilliance Drewps! It's worthy of a re-print. The cummin' lounge sounds erm... perfect...?!
  10. Lol...! Here's a Trip Advisor list of restaurants in Sherburn-in-Elmet: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/MobileRestaurantSearch-g5496148-a_geobroaden.false-Sherburn_in_Elmet_Selby_District_North_Yorkshire_England.html Regardless of choice - if I'm there on the evening of the meal, I promise to get a round of drinks in for everyone in attendance. Sounds easier than agreeing a t-shirt design...
  11. Are non-Yamahas allowed? Can I hold Foamy's helmet? Bla bla bla, something something something. I'm coming (on a Beemer)... Now, about that group t-shirt...
  12. It's ok, I hear it'll be better from Monday for the next 5 days...
  13. Ahh - the maintenance work is either still in progress, or something has gone wrong. We should probably let Alex know just in case - I'll message him now.
  14. You're right - I think it's gone. I noticed a message on the site this morning about some maintenance so perhaps not everything moved over?
  15. I sold my 125 on eBay. Also had it listed on Bike Trader but got no interest from there.
  16. That is crap Grouch! I'd definitely be escalating that to Yamaha.
  17. The armour is build to the appropriate EN standard - but being held together by mesh I couldn't see it staying together then skidding down some tarmac. In addition to that it looks like hard armour - probably better for its intended use of falling off on mud and gravel. Not sure how well it would absorb the impact of a harder surface. But I'm not speaking from personal experience!
  18. Most definitely scum, but what can you do...! Ahh that's right, you did! Well I may call on you for some advice. It won't be until next year anyway - I still have more of Scotland to enjoy this year!
  19. I know... it's sacrilege!!
  20. Personally I think my hesitation is because I'm getting older and more pathetic...!! I need the stop thinking about it and just do it, I think I'm turning it into a bigger thing than it is. You two ride too fast for me...! I'm seriously like a little granny, ha ha! I'm sure you guys will have a great time and hope you have good weather! [emoji41]
  21. Hello and welcome! According to Wikipedia the 2017 model has received some updates... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_Tracer_900 But as Tommy said, I'd be checking with the dealer.
  22. You know what Tommy - I agree with you. When I first took the luggage off I thought its "back-end" looked really dated in comparison to the front with its fairing. The panniers help to hide all that and even the bike out. But yeah I hope to get the most out of it with trips and you never know I may do another Iron Butt, if only to see how much more comfortable I'd be on this vs. a cramped naked bike! I really want to head to Europe for the 1st time on a motorbike but as none of my friends ride it'll be something I do on my own and I'm oddly nervous about it!! But anyway my aim is to get some practice in this year and use this bike for that next year. Ha ha! Yeah I'm clearly going to have to stick some gaffer tape on those ghastly badges...! Jesus...!
  23. I took that picture back in 2006 - not sure if he still owns it - but it was immaculate when he picked it up. Hardly any miles under its belt, and in all fairness I'm not sure he put many on it himself. You never know it may be the same bike as yours...! Both P-reg, this one was in Addlestone. That's just crazy going that fast with someone one the back! Mind you, I know people who do...
  24. That is pristine! Very nice and I like the colour scheme. The Thundercat was the 1st (and last) sports bike I've ever ridden pillion on... Back in my teens I used to ride pillion on my ex's Africa Twin. Anyway his younger brother bought a P-reg Thundercat (same colour scheme as yours) and I was given the role of serving as his 1st pillion so he could get some practice in. Lucky me! Anyway after a good 1st attempt my ex jumped in the riders seat and I've never been more petrified by acceleration before! With my legs up so high I just felt perched. Couldn't wait to get back on the dull Africa Twin after! Ha ha! Here it is - was ridiculously low mileage and had never seen the rain from the person he bought it off:
