Good idea! Thanks - I'll certainly do that!

ACF50
I've bought some of this and will be putting it on my bike once it has had a good clean. I'm going to ask a silly question now... I know it shouldn't go anywhere near the brakes so that's cool. But is there anywhere else you should avoid? What about the chain? I swear to God I feel like an absolute tool asking these questions! It shows how little I know...

Hey Bernie and welcome to the forum. I don't have a clue about bikes either, but don't let that stop you - definitively give it a go!

Let there be light!
Hey guys - no, I'm afraid no update on the light yet - I'm currently away with work so don't have access to my bike! I will however be looking into this once I'm back and will update this thread. My commute is beginning to become quite troublesome now that the darkness is closing in, so I'll need to get something sorted. It looks like DT502001 has given some great advice, so that may help you guys in the meantime.

stupid kids in outer-city roads
Not condoning their behaviour in anyway at all, but sometimes I think kids believe they are indestructible. Lets be honest, we've all been there! Of course, as for his foul language... Totally not cool. Not long ago I was driving (not riding) down a main road, heading into Manchester and a ball rolled into the road - closely followed by a suicidal kid! Thank god myself, the other car (dual carriageway) and the oncoming traffic were paying attention. Even though none of us were obviously speeding, it just pays to give the road full attention at all times as things like this can happen in a flash. The joys of a public highway eh?!

Hi to you all
Hey - check out my "let there be light" thread. Haven't done anything to my bike yet, but will hopefully be experimenting with other headlights soon as my commute is now beginning to become troublesome. Regardless, I will update that thread once I do.

Hi Fellow Yamaha Owners
Hey and welcome to the forum! Good luck with the DAS - it'll be good for you to get that polished off before the licence changes come into effect next year.

The new guy
Hey Andy and welcome to the forum! I've been a pillion on the back of a Thundercat very briefly and they seem like fun. Very different to the Africa Twin I was used to hitching a ride on though, ha ha! Anyway - enjoy!
