  1. Instead of kicking, remove the left cover case, and find the ignition magnet. It is fixed to the crankshaft with nut. So basicly if you can find tool wich fit to the nut, you can rotate the crankshaft with that nut. All you need to do is to rotate engine in correct way, and find a way to connect tool with hand driller. So you have much faster rotation and bigger chances to start engine, or find some hill and push the motorcycle down... it should start. Also it worth to be mentioned... Kick start shaft are not made someone to jump 10 hours per day. They crack very easy.
  2. Wow, this is the tread I was looking for. I`ve done Dt 50 (air cooled) to Dt 80 (liquid cooled) conversion... and it is quite simple if you have 2 motorcycles. To be more correct, I`ve fit a RD 80 engine in my DT 50. RD80 and DT 80 LC are the same machine, diference is only in cooler. If anyone need my help, let me know. I can post images from DT 50 with 80 cc engine. Also, i`m looking for kick start shaft with spring and sprocket for RD/DT 80.
  3. I called local dealer, but Macedonia is Macedonia.... As answer I got: We can find you shaft with sprocket and spring, but you need to pay in advance. Price was around 130 euros, and also they were not 100% shure if the part wich will arive, will fit to my engine. Will someone pay 130 euros for part wich might be correct one? I`d rather not. Also the price is very unreal, it is almost 1/4 of entire bike value. If anyone has the part, please contact me.
  4. Yes, but take a look how much rear end is unstable while is "dragging" trough corners... very easy can go out of track, or fail from motorcycle.
  5. Country/Regional threads NO Maybee new sub for this users, so they can organise rides, workshop etc...
  6. I do not think that this can be done. Cruisers are much heavy and had bigger distance between front and rear wheel - gravity center is lower and harder is to pop up. All you can get is smoke from rear tire and that is it.
  7. Yeah, here motorcycle can be riden 9 months in year... and I`m driving car at +40C, instead of motorcycle...
  8. Hi, I have a Yamaha dt 50R from 1993 (). I own this motorcycle for many years, and it is a quite fun for city ride. Fun ride turned to extra fun when original DT 50 R engine fail. So I decided to swap with RD 80, wich has 6 gears, and is a lot faster. But fun ride turned into bad ride when the kick start shaft break at 2 peaces, and engine could not be runned. Since then I my motorcycle is staying in garage and I`m looking for some solution. Can I found somewhere complete kick shaft with sprocket and spring? DT80 and RD80 are two identical engines. Or some suggestion about engine swap? It might be cheaper to change engine. I`m not quite shure will dt50 chassis hold dt125 engine. Also fuel tank is bigger than dt 125 and i dont think that will have enough space to mount 4 stroke engine (xt 125)
