Looks really good mate. Did it take you long to do? Cost you much to repair? Was the bike a write off before you bought it? Sorry for so many questions but i've just binned my R6 and the insurance have written it off (cat c) but im thinking of buyin it back to do up,im waitin to hear from them. Is it road legal or for the track? If it is road legal did you have hassel gettin mot,insured etc? Sorry again for so many questions but you've inspired me to try! Cheers J

Hi all havent been on here for a while but i've got bad news-I've binned my bike! Had a 2000 R6 which i loved but its been written off-Had a blow out goin round a roundabout! Need to get another bike, Wheres the best place to look for new used bike? I've tried autotrader but what other sites could i look at-any of you know where to look? Would like another R6 if poss. Ive had the same prob mate. R+G dont do them for our models. (got 2000 R6) Had a look on ebay but its only a bracket they sell but where do you bolt it too? Think you have to buy a new undertray to fix it to.Either that or cut your original undertray about. Hope im wrong,if so can some one put some pics up so i can see hows its done.

I would take them back m8. If its not comfortable puttin them on how you gonna feel ridin your bike? Just go early in the mornin and get the next size up then rest of day to play! Try all the gear on and sit on a bike if poss. You dont want to be worrin bout how you feel in tight clothes when your tryin to ride. Just my opinion.

Hi m8 welcome. I was in very similar situation as you,passed test,bought bike few months later(nice choice by the way,i've got 2000 R6-great first bike). Bit worried bout performance of bike when really thinkin about it,was i ready for such a bike when i hadn't riden for a while but as long as you REPECT THE BIKE you'll be fine. Go out a few times on your own to get use to it,ridin with your mates on a new bike when your not use to it might be recipy for disater-you might ride alittle faster than you would on your own,egg each other on so to speak. Give it few weeks of finding yourself on the bike then go out with your m8s and try to ride to your abilities NOT theirs. Hope this sounds ok,guess what im saying is take your time ,get use to it,ride safe! Then give it the beans!!!! PS goin on track school(not track day) at end of month-through RIDE MAG. Everyone i've spoken to said its worth payin-you can never learn enough, and if it helps me to become better rider,which wont be hard! Then its the best 200 quid i've spent.

Are they easy to fit booze? Does the suspension have to be set up by expert? Im a novice mind!

Steering damper What are they and do i need one on my bike? Ive got 2000 R6-heard alot of people fittin them to this bike why?

got 2000 R6 and on the front its got the mnd guards but on newer bikes its got a mud guard that also protects the forks, can i just change my mud guard to the ones that protect the forks?

Im no mechinic but i did have something similar on my r6. apparently its common problem on R1,R6 clunky box etc, I adjusted clutch cable and that helped me. Hope this helps you

got 2000 R6 with 21 k on it. ive notice a few times that changing from 1 to 2nd when im just chillin it wont go in. dont get it when im givin it some,so is it me or is something startin to go on bike?
