  1. Any decent locksmith should be able to install the new springs and worn gates for 20 bucks. If you remove it from the bike. Is the key worn down,might be as simple as cutting a new key.If you have a spare key thats not all worn down try it and see if it fits tighter. Then have a key cut from it and tell the person cutting the new key that, yours is worn down to the point you can pull it out and to cut it not as deep. Most key cutting machines are the tracer type,they simply put your key in and copy it but they can adjust it. I would be woried the the gates are stuck so that any key would turn the lock making your bike quite easy to steal.
  2. It's a racer thing ,lots of us change the oil after a race it's cheaper than changing parts.Its overkill but when your running the bike at 100% of what she's got it's hard on oil. Rule of thumb of road use is every 3000 miles or 3 months,what ever comes first oil breaks down with daily heating and cooling and trap moisture in itself effectively thinning it. same with miles. think of oil as ball bearings that wear down in time.
  3. Nope realy small springs. your ign may be so worn that the brass gates are worn out and any key will fit now.
  4. Just a suggestion as you have 1 harness make a copy of it. I take it you need to make 1 for the golf cart. So using a mulit meter set on ohms scale Identify each wire and simply make it longer.if you don't want the lighting/horn then omit them. You will need the ignition coil, charing coil /points, voltage regulator, kill switch. Geting a wiring diagram will make this easier.

    Yes fnkn sweet motor that will run .......Corradosand you rock .......just afew parts swap and Sahas bike will be alive again. It will give her time to totaly rebuild a new motor and have a spare. and find a mag to have 2 motors. I couldn't be more happy for you sacha. Get r dunn!! No pressure but we want to see it done ! Life begins at 140 mph + Or why does Mclaren build a car that does 300 + street worhty.. ,,,, If you can`t have fun sometimes and pay the ticket if caught! OOOOO ps for thoes who care I am 45 and stil going strong at 175mph + When ever I can feel safe( just for politics) And looking at puting a turbo on my bandit to run into 300..and I dirt bash weekly.   7. Wholey crap what did I start. Miss one thread for a day and BANG everyone is up in arms. I think we all agree that roads are for motor vehicles primarly,,,, sidewalks and subways are for ppl That said you still have to look out for all the other things that can and will happen day in and day out. I agree with everyone`s opinon,,I have been pissed off by everyother person on the road at one time or another. If farmers cant let a person travle safely across thier land on a horse and thier is no safe passage then ...it`s up to the hores rider to determin wheather or not it safe to pass ..as we all are required to do. Thier is no mention In the Police report as to when the horse and rider entered the road ....... Maybe the rider of the bike or horse didn`t see eachother and it was just a case of oops SUCK IT UP and go have a BEER and chill out

O boy here we go again Kids /horses try this ............Just pick a local race track and go give it shit........... then when you got it out of your system ...just ride acordingly to what ever road enviroment's you encounter. When your just trying to get around for work or play... This is life today!Suck it up! At least on the track everyone knows what's happing and if all goes to s***it then ..no one is to blame..we all signed the same waiver declaring no one is at fault. I realy cant strees this enough,,if you enjoy riding ...then go test your limits on/in a safe envirioment. It will make you a better rider.!! If you can't deal with the day in and day out of BS that cars ,horses and kids and all the other crap will bring daily then get a cage. And when you kill someone or something DEAL WITH IT THEN. You won't be as mad at the object you killed as you will be with yourself ...If you walk away uninjured/alive My redemption for the horse issue but I still think they shouldn't be on roads!
  9. Your welcome Bippo I cant belive yam would put a 35w bulb in might as well put a candle in lol.I have a aftermarket UFO light on my wr and it's plastic and I run a 60-55 with no problems.

    New Boots

    Mx boots take a while to break in and adjust your riding style.As for the rear brake issue lower your brake arm so you can ride with your boot over top of the peddal. It's adjusted by turning the linkage at the rear loosen the jam nut and raise it 2-3 turns then spin up the piviot. Also adjust you shifter alittle higher. As far as saftey your feet/ankels couldn't be safer.It's almost impossible to twist a ankel if the boots are worn properly and you will never hyper extend your ankel. I wouldn't have any toes on my left foot if it weren't for my boots my foot got caught in the chain and rear sprocket in a dirt crash and the bike stalled because the boot is so strong.I broke my collar bone and knocked myself out cracked my helmet but the boots still good save for a nice big scrach My boot are 8 yrs old and nicely broken in they r much like yours made by Thor. Get them wet and go for a walk on grass as you have probably noticed they are like walking in a cast on pavment and they will soften up so you can move easier in them.
  11. Roughley.I posted this some where else but here goes again. Lets say your running a 40 t rear and a 13f your final ratio would be3.07 so in words that means the front turns 3.07 x to turn the wheel 1 x A 13- 37 would be 2.84 where a 14-40 would be 2.85.
  12. Ok the 35-35 bulb is drawing 2.9 amps, the 60-55 would draw 5amps and 4.5 amps respectivly so as far a load issue on the charging system no big deal. As you would be running the low beam most of the time you would only be using 1.6 amps more. Putting in a xenon bulb in might generate too much heat for the light if it's plastic if its glass then I see no reason why you couldn't..

Sorry but the horse days are gone,,if you look back in history the most poulting way of travel was horse shit. england,toronto and new york ect... ppl were almost whiped out from the desies spred form horse crap.Black plauge and so many other illness were because of horse popo. Please don't get me wrong the guy should have given the space and ect....... but wtf r horses doing on the road in todays roads? The ppl who own horses and spend $$$$$$$ to care for them should think 2 x about riding them on the road ,,when clearly there was a grass field beside the road in the picture ??? Lets just say if you crashed you bike because of horse crap on the road,or got covered in it would you be happy? We have a large comunity of Mennoties in Ontario and they stay off the roads mostely. As should all horse owners. To end anyone throwing fire crackers at horses needs thier head examened or as above mentioned shoved up where the sun don't shine.
  18. Move the needle clip in the carb down 1 notch = more fuel for top speed running. Airhead ru shure about the 240 stock seemes to me someone had a bad melt down with a 210 stock jet??
  19. If the arm has been installed in the wrong position then it will never line up with the case,, just take the free play out fo the push rod then worry about lining everything up.

Shes a beauty could you provide info on the front turn signals ,brake light/turnsignal, and the 180 mirror as where to source them.I am going to start this winter to mod my wr to motard and love the clean look of you lighting system. I got lost on your site that resto on steve mcqueen's bike is a stunning story.
  21. 13 -14 for hill climbing 15-17 for street/highway just rember if you cut the chain to fit a 13 tooth sporcket it might not fit a 17 t if fit to a 17 first it might make the adjuster run all the way to tighten the chain on a 13. Just a example as I don't know what rear sprocket your running but lets say a 40t 13/40=3.076 final ratio more torque less speed great for low speed wheelies motor revs high on highwaqy 17/40=2.352 so in words this means you your front sprocket turns 2.352 times to turn the rear wheel 1 time= less torque more speed
  22. Did you turn in the screw till it bottomed out then out 1/8 of a turn before tighting the lock nut with the cable as loose as possible? Order of adjustment. 1 loosen or remove cable 2 adjust free play at basket ( locknut and screw 3 install cable and adjust
  23. Not familar with that charger but Ok it won't over charge. If the battery shows 13+ volts on a multi meter what does its drop to when trying to start the bike? If it crashes to 6 v then the battery is done ,,,,,if it stays at or about 12 v.I would clean every terminal from the battery to seloniod to starter and grounds.And for Nev coat with dielectric grease.
