Sounds like a duff spark plug.I have had brand new ones be no good.Have you tried gapping the plug both ways.Wider/narrower.

AH the old having to wait problem lol.Its hard i know i just bought a yg1 and want to have it on the road last week .But its going to be a long build this one.This one is the rotary valve 80cc engine but i will try the engine first see how it runs before any pulling it bits as it is in very good condition and it has a very strange gear shift mecanism..I should think it will need crank seals with been stood .Happy days lol

I would wait for new head mate and take the old one to be helicoiled at leisure.If you look up the the exhaust port you will see its square .If you grind it out to a round shape it will fly then but dont take any off the barrel side or alter the port inside or you will wreck it..

I have the top and bottom yokes of a ct1 if they fit? in good nick if any use.They were not on taperd bearings but i beleve you can fit them .Looking at your pics the replacement bearings look wrong anyhow good luok i am only near crewe if you need the bits Ian Edit i see the problems sorted..

Make sure the clutch is not dragging first mate .Push it back and too in gear with the clutch pulled in and try again to nurse it into neutral.The clutch on the ct is a bit of a weekpoint.Other than that the selector fork maybe worn but take care removing the clutch as they are hard to come by.

Just bought a yg1 myself no workshop manual sorry .I did read somewhere recent the oil petrol mix is 30 to1 ratio if this helps,

Hi guys , My turn for help.I have a rd engine for rebuild and have a problem with the points rotor.One of the springs on the rotor has decided its not happy doing its job and keeps coming out due to been mishaped.Anyone know if just the springs are available to buy or is a new rotor the only answer ? .I have searched the yambits and wemoto sites etc to no avail.The engine is on its original pistons and having both engine covers off i am amazed at the lack of wear on the engine.Its just very rough in the points department and needs brushes points and a rewire.I dont mind spending a few quid on it as it cost £4.30 on ebay and came with carbs downpipes and coils.(i know what a steal )My plan is to fit it in my ct1 at some point as the ct1 engine is cream crackered and i fancy a project. I have a ts 185 and etz 125 to put in the frame but prefer to keep it yammy.Anyone know where such ignition parts are available.Many thanks .

Is there a breather on your fuel tank or filler cap ? My xt 125 ( same engine)used to vaccum up and act the same.Take fuel pipe off and unscrewe the filler cap to see if the flow of fuel increases. I hope this helps.

Good find that. Looks a nice machine but i would get through some undies trying to tame it.

I would say air leak to .Check the nuts on the carb and manifold and oil the cables

Hi I have 22cm to the ball bearing on the first rod then 4cm to the flat end in the preasure plate on the smaller rod.I have not added the bearing into it as i think it would be added or subtracted by normal adjustment. Hope this helps..

I can measure mine (rd 200 dx 1e8) if you like its in bits at the moment so full length up to the preasure plate is no trouble to do.Let me know if your not already sorted.

Another newbie here. I have been a yamaha type person since my first go on on a purple fs1e many bottles of cazzie R ago.I have owned ss1es / yz 125 j / xts /many fsie and other breeds . I have a ct1 and rd 200 in the shed in pieces at the moment . Love the forum and i hope to add a bit of help if i can and have a few things i need help with if you good dudes dont mind.
