The XT shares its engine with the YBR as well, great little engines just a bit slow.

Not sure, don't different models have different swing arms/wheels ect? Don't have a clue but someone on here will know.

Thanks for the answer Slice. Read a lot about 'tank slappers' and it's very discouraging. I've had the front end/wheel wobble before when taking a corner at speed on my little XT but I wouldn't like the experience going over 60 mph.

Cheers, but that's it now nothing major can go wrong. Also the bike is running sweeter than ever (not a placebo effect) the guys have done a good job and the bike rides a lot better. Expensive exercise but worth every penny. I love my little XT. Couldn't bare to scrap it.

Nice bike, you need to get rid of the stickers, especially the Fox MX one on a super bike lol.

Does a bike need one? Been looking at sports bikes and some have them and some don't. I think I would prefer one but I could always fit one. Are they only any good on larger sports bikes? I'm getting a 125.

At last my bike is sorted, 12 months mot, fork seals, brake pads, electrics, front wheel bearings all for £219! I'm very pleased with it, they have done a good job and serviced it as well i.e. oiling cables ect. The bike is sorted now and as long as I look after her there will be no major problems.

Your lucky mine just went all of a sudden with no warning. It's only £12 for a set of decent bearings.

John what happened when it went? How fast we're you going? The same thing happened to me and it was scary shit, I nearly lost control with the back end sliding and bouncing.

They just said they used sks bearings which are a good brand. You need to make sure you do it properly otherwise your putting yourself in danger.

My bash plate was £20 second hand but off a brand new xt broken for spares. I think I will blather the bolts in WD and leave over night to really penetrate it.

Nice job, looks a lot better. My bash plate was in a sorry state, similar to yours. But I just bought a new one off eBay lol. My exhaust guard is a bit tatty but I'm going to spray it, if it comes off! I think the bolts are threaded.

No this time it's the front wheel bearings, and front brake pads. It's in for its mot. Never selling it now after all the money I've pumped into it. When I get it back this time it will be 100% mechanically sound. As long as I look after it and don't neglect it, it will be trouble free. Getting a 2T in a few weeks as well so more expense and worse of all, more fucking moaning and nuisance threads on here lol.

So the bike is in the garage again. Now it's the front wheel bearings, front brake pads, fork seal (1 but getting both done at same time) and the electrics are getting sorted as they are fooked. After this the bike will be sound for ages. I've spent some right money on my Xt now, it's getting fucking ridiculous.

I can understand you wanting to ditch the drum, but like people say it will be a ball ache & expensive. Would be good to put some Brembo's on though haha.

I've seen a really nice TZR 125 Belgarda and it is fooking mint. Only trouble is it's a bit opver budget so if it's still there i n a few weeks I'm getting it. Would make a great weekend bike, it's a right head turner.
