Just as the scaffolding got taken away now I'm worried sick about something else. On Friday evening I was sat at home with the door open. I have 5 cats so if the weather is not too bad I leave it open so they can come and go. I'm sat there on the pc when all of a sudden the cats come charging into the house followed by a Jack Russel and a Staffy. I jumped up and shouted get these f'ing dogs out of my house. They ran out and by the time I put my trainers on and went out one cat was in the my garden in a dogs mouth. He managed to get away and thank God he come back 20 minutes later unharmed. A few gardens down the other dog had hold of another of my cats. He managed to break free and ran off. He hasn't been seen since. We are worried sick. The owner of the dogs was a complete dickhead over the matter. He said 'someone' had left his gate open I know it's not the dogs fault but I said to him he would be paying vets bills to which he said it's not his responsibility. I walked away from him before I punched him. A fat smelly, scruffy man. His neighbours that live next door to him said half the street has had problems with him and his dogs. I've phoned all the vets etc and now I suppose I'll have to make some posters. It really is one thing after another.

Yeah it can be problematic on dim roads but usually I have it open on a night unless it's raining.
-
I'm really happy with it. It's perfect for the bright sun and dark nights. It just strained my eyes a little bit at first.
-
Thats settled then. I'm getting a yellow one. They sound ideal for the rainy winter weather thats beginning.
-
I had to bin my pinlock insert the other other day. My first one was clear and it was spot on. My second was a tinted one because it was a lot cheaper to buy an insert than an actual tinted visor. Not that it would be a very sensible thing to use now the weather is turning into winter and darkness is upon us. I'm just unsure whether to get a clear one or a yellow one. I fancy getting a yellow one but to be honest I'm not even sure what they are used for? I'm under the impression they are anti glare or something, so will be safe to use in the dark? Does anyone else use one?

I don't have a goat anymore. I used it as a dowry for my wife.

Just as mysteriously as it appeared it has now gone. Thank f for that. The idiots have got away with it. I have no idea who put it there.

Everyone was at work so it was missed. The landlord is on the case but seriously a week later and nobody has noticed that they fucked up? When I do find out which company it is if they don't compensate me financially for the stress etc I am going to put it all over social media and phone the local rag. I want at the very least to take the mrs out for a nice meal.

I have cleaned the gutter but I'm not bothered about free work getting done. It's rented. So the only person who would benefit is the landlord and I've already pumped too much money into the house ready for the next tenant when I move out in a year.
-
It's rented so I couldn't care less. There's £800 worth. So I'd want £200 for a quick sale. Buyer collects.

I could easily dismantle it, it would just take hours and I would need at least one person to help me. I'd have to pass it down to someone. I've phoned all the scaffolding companies in Bradford and a few in Leeds and no one is claiming responsibility. I actually work in construction so I got one of the scaffolders at work to have a look. He said it's been erected properly and it is safe. So it seems legit. So now it's just waiting until they realise their mistake and come and get it. Yeah it seems funny and it doesn't sound a big deal does it? But how would you like scaffolding being put on the front of your house not knowing who's it is or how long it will be there? It is also obstructing the view of my bike and blocking my security light. The Mrs is scared someone will climb through the bedroom window in the middle of the night so I have to close it. Now I won't hear the alarm as loud as I normally would. So now the bike is less safe on so many different levels.. Also some burglar can use it as an aid to burgle my house. Yes all very improbable but remember this is me we are talking about not your average go lucky person. I just want the monstrosity to be taken away.
-
At least some people find it funny. I don't have a spare three hours and two men to help me take it down, and to be honest I don't have the energy. I'm talking about scaffolding not a fucking mecano set. Some of the bars are 30 foot long. I live in a two bedroom terrace so I don't have the space to store it in the garden. That's what I thought but it's not on domestic scaffold, just tower scaffold.

No just pure stress. Don't need it after working my bollocks off all day. Haven't even had my tea. Wound up to fuck.

When I got home from work tonight I planned on a nice relaxing evening and an early night. How fucking wrong was I! Come home to find scaffolding erected on my house. I automatically phoned the landlord and he doesn't have a clue. So I asked all the neighbours on the street, the next street and the next street up. No one has any idea. My bedroom windows were open so I could of easily been burgled. I know I'm probably overreacting and it's just probably a mix up but you know me, now I'm thinking some gypsies are going to turn up on my door demanding cash! The scaffolding looks shoddy, no company sign or any identifying features. It doesn't even look safe. I've just had to take two weeks off work after being knocked off my bike and left for dead so I can't afford to take more time off. Just one thing adter another. Now the Mrs is thinking someones going to climb through the window while we are asleep or were going to get burgled or something. You just couldnt make this shit up.

That was what I was thinking. Just knock a frame together and then use plastic sheeting or perspex. It doesn't have to be a work of art just functional.
-
I wanted more of a shelter style so I can wipe the bike down and do maintenance etc under it when it's raining. It just seems to constantly rain all the time here.
-
I keep my bike in the garden covered etc but it's still not good enough. Every time it rains I have to run out and cover it. I have been looking at sheds but I plan on moving house soon so it would be a waste. Also the only suitable place for a shed would block my outside tap and kitchen window. So now I'm thinking of alternatives. It doesn't have to be out fancy just a shelter from the rain and snow. I'm thinking of knocking a timber frame together as a starting point but then I thought about a gazebo type thing? Any ideas?

Think I'll try one of the 'scottoilers' Thanks guys.
-
Is there a way to lube your chain without your back wheel etc getting proper blathered in it? My back wheel, swing arm and even the tyre has got the lube all over it and it is a nightmare to get off. I thought about a scotch oiler or whatever they are called but people said they make a mess. I use a spray lube, WD40 Chain Lube at the minute. Not WD40 it is chain lube made by WD40 before any smart arses comment.

They definitely think they can use it against you.

Nobody likes a show off Beautiful machine.

Actually sounds like a good idea I know. I'm booking my theory test tomorrow. When I renewed my CBT last year the instructor told me to go in for my test. This is my 5th year on 125's. Also the finance on my bike is paid off in November. That was the other thing putting me off. Being stuck with the finance for three years. Love the WR though. Easily one of the best 125's out there.

After being knocked off my bike and left for dead in a hit and run two weeks ago I've just come within inches of being smashed into again! Some dickhead has pulled out in front of me after watching me come from the top of the road and left it until the last minute to pull out on me. Causing me to slam on. I caught up with the idiot at a junction and proper gave him a mouthful. He wouldn't even look at me because he knew he was in the wrong. I never will quit but sometimes I think is it worth it? The standard of driving seems to get worse each day. Every time I go out on my bike I'm taking a gamble. I'm really fed up of it now. I think my problem is I use my bike daily as it is my only transport. So I am always caught up in rush hour and riding through notorious areas for bad drivers. I think I'd be better getting a car and just riding bikes on a weekend. The way things are it's just a matter of time before I am smashed into again.
