  1. I'm having 2nd thoughts about the bike thing. Anybody interested in buying a Yamaha XVS125 Dragstar?
  2. That's good to know.
  3. Welcome to the forum, lababa.
  4. Welcome to the forum, Migthy Mule. Wrong place to post a question though.
  5. Welcome to the forum, TheReaper.
  6. MOT: check Tax: check I'm now all set, whoop, whoop!! Now to find a place in or not far from Chelmsford where I can go and practice.
  7. Thanks, DirtyDT. (sorry for the late reply) I "passed" a very inadequate CBT on Sunday and insured the bike. Now to book the MOT. Getting there.
  8. Update: I somehow got things wrong, the first payment was actually £172.87 (excluding cash-back) but it's all good, I just want to get on with it. I "passed" a ridiculously inadequate CBT on Sunday.
  9. Thanks for the info, Dickwad. I don't know if it makes that much of a difference but I have an XVS 125, not a 650.
  10. Unless I'm missing something you'd have thought they would allow for more options. They're happy for us to stick all sorts of reflectors on helmets, jackets, pants, rear/front of the bike, etc etc.. so as to increase our chances to be seen by other drivers, but the regulation seems to be very restrictive as to what lights you can use; lights that would surely be more effective as they are not dependent on other light sources. There are obviously colours you need to stick to and you shouldn't use anything that could endanger/blind other road users, but still. The following is an over-the-top/extreme example but it would surely make a bike more visible.
  11. Thanks guys. So could I legally install flashing led lights (red at the back, white at the front) as used on push-bikes?
  12. Thanks for the reply, Campaman.
  13. Hi all Is it legal to put some reflectors and/or lights at the back of the passenger's seat (I.e, sissy bars)?
  14. Hello and welcome to the forum, Jayk.
