A hugger is usually a good thing to have, helps keep the bike clean.

I went last year and really enjoyed it, the revolution show was very entertaining, the stalls were good for a bargain and there was ALOT of bikes to see. I didnt go to any of the 'riding clinics' or 'ask and expert' areas etc, but im sure they would have been helpful.

Anyone going this year? I might be up there Friday.
  11. Ive tried listening to music while riding, but i didnt like the loss of awareness. The sound of the engine is good enough for me and of course my (purposely) bad singing and ranting.....

What I am going to do is rebuild the tiny front porch/garden I have and level it out to street level and put two anchors in, flood light with PIR and maybe a mini CCTV system rather than keeping it in the road for next bike. Id just put the one anchor in, but position it to the back wheel of the bike. Front wheels can be unbolted with the chain intact, or lifted slightly and the whole bike wheeled away. Anyone have experience with using the disc brake alarms and the mini sim card trackers, are they any good as I know they draw a small amount of current? Ive used a Xena alarm disc lock for nearly 2 years. Plus point: compact loud fairly robust Neg points: Need to keep the sensors clean can be very sensitive to light movement (wind, a lorry going past ect) Ive had 2 XX-6's but they kept malfunctioning, Xena were very helpful, but after a new alarm module and another one malfunctioning i gave up and tried a XZZ-6 which so far hasn't had any issues (about 6 months old) Also look into getting your next bike data tagged Thanks for the support everyone and keep spreading the word encase it does reappear. Good luck.

Used to go round the classic car shows with my dad in this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/foden_djp/6845547721/ 1961 mammoth major mk.V with 1964 trailer. Now my hobbies are bass guitar, collecting music and cooking (latter is my job also). I like to travel, but thats an expensive hobby.
  15. Dropped my brand new ER6-n, 2 weeks after getting it Came on too heavy on the front brake coming to a stop on a slope, luckily it was at a very slow speed so all i could do was ease it down, look around and quickly get it back it. Oh, done the 'keys in the ignition' thing a couple of times

Glad to hear youre alright, but you should always stop to the side of the rear of the vehicle. If you cant see their mirrors, they cant see you ect ect. You were lucky he was so helpful about it. Good advice you give too.

Hi Daniel, and welcome to the forum. It might be a good idea to do an intro in the new members thread, people round here are into that kinda thing. As for the insurance, try moneysupermarket or the mcn insurance search engine. http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/INSURANCE/ http://www.moneysupermarket.com/motorbike-insurance/ Theres quite a few criterias which will make guessing an amount hard to do, such as area.
  18. Id do it if i had an older bike, but right now, i couldnt afford the damages. Im in a village in the middle of no-where, we dont get the luxuries of a gritter and ditch clearers.

Cheers guys Ill drop them an email now. I dont fancy taking the risk. Aye, was going to try that, but it only covers the smell, not clean them. Cant turn them inside out Ill try emailing them first and depending on the reply, try this. Thanks again

Whats the best way to clean the inside of textile gloves? Dont exactly think they'll like the washing machine. Theyre spada enforcers and ive checked their website. Theyre about 8 months old and have started to smell abit inside.

A fair bit of experience, could also mean alot of bad habits that are harder to get out of.

Braver man than me mate! These country roads will be deadly in about a week or 2.
  24. tgsm7 replied to Grouch's post in a topic in The Bar
Sounds like a good deal. But then again, would you like to go through all that for the test, pass and then not be able to ride for a while due to the weather?
  25. tgsm7 replied to Grouch's post in a topic in The Bar
Oh, just noticed you need to add a test fee of £90 to each price for them, cheeky sods.
