    hi thanks for the help ,i have just been reading about converting it to 12v lighting,and i think this is the way im going to go ,my xt500 was converted to 12v bulbs by a previous owner he told me that it had a regulator of a outboard motor fitted the lights are good driving along but when the revs drop so do the lights,i have a cub 90 in pieces so im goin to use the coils from that and the regulator/rectifier,hopefully it will all work out.

    hi all just checking out this thread i have a 1980 dt125mx model 2A6,it is running well but has next to no wiring it has a points and condenser ignition,the flywheel has F1T251 ,the lighting coil is missing,any checking up i have done on this model shows it should be cdi ignition,any ideas what my stator and flywheel are originally of ?any help with this would be appreciated,regards denis

    hi i have an engine taken apart and just had a look there is play but i dont think its 1/8 of an inch,maybe half of that.the engine that i have has only 15 thousand miles on it so might not be that worn yet .

    hi thanks for that paul ,ill get all my paperwork gathered up and email it off to them,do i need to take some pictures of chassis /engine numbers ? when i contacted the bsa owners club about my m20,they wanted about 10 pictures ,front, back ,both sides,and all the numbers to give an exact date of manufacture, regards denis

    hi im just after signing up,im a big yamaha fan i have 5 or 6 classic yamahas ,i recently bought a r1z 250,and im having trouble getting it road registered, on my import papers it states the year of manufacture is 2005,and that is the registration that they want to give me,how would i get a dating certificate,to verify the real age of it its a 3xc model,i have a bsa m20 1945 and i had the same problem and the bsa owners club sorted me with a dating certificate,i have asked my local yamaha dealer and he didnt really have any info about the bike because its a jap import,i would be grateful for any help with this,regards denis
