thank you all for replying, i am going to go and have a play with the side stand switch and see if it will start, my friend said that it doesnt seem to be sparking, i guess that the sidestand switch would stop this from happening because it doesnt want you to ride away with the stand down?

Okay so i took my bike out for a ride the other day & i needed a pee so turned the bike of on the ignotion, went for a pee went to ride of again and the bike just wouldnt start of the button, i checked i had fuel, the fuel tap was on, the kill switch ect and still no joy so after a few minutes of pissing about i decided to try and pump start it and it started straight away! so while it was working i headed home the bike ran perfect after i got it started but then i decided to go out again later that day and it just died on me as if i had ran out of fuel but i know for a fact i had a full tank of petrol, but it seemed like it was dieing then running okay then dieing again for example (NO power,POWER,NO power,POWER!,No power) Now i have thought about it, when i went to take my bike out for a spin it would usually idle in neutral with no problems what so ever but that day it wouldnt it would cut out everytime i left it in neutral with no revs idleing.. i took my bike to a friend that knows what he is doing and we stripped the carb down to check if there was a blockage and it seemed to be fine. he did manage to get it started from jump leads of his car but as soon as he took the leads of it died again. i am posting here in hope that someone can help me because i have no idea, i am currently bidding on a whole new igniting wiring harness with a CDI and stuff hopefully that will sort it as my mate seems to think it is the CDI although i havent been back to him just yet with my haynes because he is on holiday til sunday, Thanks for reading, i appreciate all help that you can give Keiran

Depending on the year, then its either where Giggs said or i beleive its on the frame underneath your fuel tank you will need to remove the tank to get to it

yeah i searched through my pc for it mate and found it later on from this post, thank you very much as at the time i didnt really need it but now i really do need it! previous owner has really had a play with the wiring!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hello all, If anyone could help me or supply me with a wiring diagram for my bike it would be a massive help as my bike is now broke again and isn't giving a spark, i have taken to a friend of my dads as he builds choppers and things and he is pretty clued up with bikes, Thank you for reading and all the help from my previous problems

i earthed mine to the bottom fork yoke just below my headlight, i've had no problems atall

is there any easy way of checking this? it might just be me being a perfectionist and worrying too much because it rides perfect and to be fair it isnt really that loud, but i have no idea how to tell if i need new plates springs ect... How are you anyway Airhead, you never seem to need to post on here lol

Just a quick question again, the clutch seems to stop being as noisy when i pull it in.. i changed the engine oil and im still having the same problem, is this a big problem or will it just be noisy? or does it mean its on its last legs and ill end up with no clutch lol i am debating whether to buy the dep full system or a new clutch because if i need new clutch plates and springs i will have to get grafting for another month before i have enough for my exhaust system Thanks for reading, sorry to be a pain

Hello all, my CBT comes to an end in roughly 8months and i am just wondering what i am able to do as i will be 18 in january, what test can i do that will make me elligible to ride a bigger bike, whats the 'biggest' bike i would be able to ride and what tests would i have to do? oh yeah and how much will it cost? sorry to be a pain in the arse but i have heard so many different things about these tests, some people say you pay 600 pound then do the test and away you go on whatever bike, some other people have said you go up in stages, please help!

sorry to go off topic but i'm having a similiar problem with my carb, it seems to leak bits of fuel from the overflow, will gentle taps be worth a try for me? only happens now and again though and runs perfectly,

Hello again lads! sosososososososososososososoososoSO happy as my bike didnt need anything other than a new spark plug & the fuel pipe feeded to it correct route from wherever into the tap on the fuel on of switch! apparentently it was starving itself from fuel due to a kink in fuel pipe somewhere, he said when he changed the plug and re routed the fuel pipe it smoked like crazy then eventually cleared, the old plug had carbon stuck on the actuall need so he said this new plug will stop that due somthing! All in all i am just so happy to have my bike back without having to spend majoy money like i was expecting to have to do so i wasnt really listening i just wanted to get out on it! Hope everyone is great and just want to thank you all for helping me

when you use the kicksart does it get stuck at any point? any crunch noises? does it kick smoothly, does it kick the whole way down?

I have this kit on mine, the power throughout the gears is crazy, it will try to wheelies up untill bout 3rd gear.. serious horses & fun

thanks for the positive attitude although i dont think its done much damage because it didnt make a sound as it died it just stopped asif i had run out of fuel but time will tell. going to have a check up later and see if she is ok

My luck is never good, i left it with the person that rebuilt it for me and his wife said she would get him to look at it for me when he gets back from his meeting, i will go round after college tomorrow and see what he has found, i really hope its not ANOTHER piston kit these oversized piston kits aint cheap

i just went out on it on the way to the GYM and it just stopped as if it had run out of petrol so i tried to start it again, wouldnt start.. but before this the rattling got really bad and was louder than the engine! sounded like a tin of nails!!! i think it is the top end bearing as im not sure this got changed in the rebuild due to it not being in the piston kit.. SO SO pissed off.. wish i had of just took it to a specialist Thanks for reading, all help is appriciated

not checked that but when ill check when i am next out, i would go and check now but i keep it in my grandparents garage down the road and the weathers not good atm, if it does go when i pull the clutch in im pressuming that it is the clutch then?
