  1. Both rides look like lots of smiles per gallon to me.
  2. Sorry I don't have an answer to your question. Others here will have a better idea. But I'll suggest that you post an intro in the new member section (). aboard!
  3. Hi Del15476. You'll want to post an intro in the new member section (). My next suggestion would be to invest in (and of course read) the manual. btw -
  4. An update for all the guys who ask why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free... Nowadays more women are against marriage because they realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage. (oldie but goodie)
  5. LMAO! Especially the really vague ones. "my bike won't start... can you help?"

Damn! I lost my hair to a go-kart chain. Even had my hair tied back... too bad it was still long enough to reach the chain. We laugh about it now, but I was damn near scalped.
  7. I know. This isn't some kind of magical place that has an on-call mechanic who can read minds and troubleshoot at great distances... just didn't want him too soured on the site. It's a fabulous place with a virtual cornucopia of information... I can get lost for hours looking through old posts and learning as I go. Maybe we should direct him to Dan's site to learn more? http://www.dansmc.com/mc_repaircourse.htm
  8. Well that's not very nice. There are so many posts sometimes that it's hard to keep up... and sometimes threads get buried. If I could've helped I would have, but I am a beginner myself... haven't even started on my engine really. Hopefully you've at least learned more about your bike and its workings. ??
  9. I'd be careful welcoming some of these blokes into your house... j/k
  10. Hi jackzero. You'll want to post questions in the appropriate section (workshop?). This ones just for intros. Edit- I see now that you've done just that.
  11. Oh my gawd! The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese... unless you eat that strong stuff I guess.
  12. Wow! Some beautiful bikes... and lots of queuing. Hope it raised lots of money!
  13. Hooligan. Sorry, no idea on the air box. You may want to post technical questions in the workshop section. It may get overlooked here.

Alright... update... I haven't given up yet, but I still haven't got jack sh*t done. Well, it doesn't seem like I have, but things are actually starting to come together... er, the pieces are coming... they just aren't getting put together. Got these last week... (lovely job by Rayco plating, and was $150 instead of $160, done within one week... I know, no one likes a braggart ) And Mike clear-coated my polished fork sliders for me... So I thought I'd tackle the steering head bearings, swing arm, and forks this weekend... wow, am I delusional or what? Well... the steering head is back together (after some much-needed help from Andy), haven't managed to remove the old fork seals, and didn't even touch the swing arm. Que sera right? I'd rather do it well and take my time than rush it and either have to make time to do it again the right way or seriously hurt myself. Til next time!
  15. you'll find lots of knowledge here.
  16. May have to be a paying member. ???
