Well the seat is actually intact so I'd imagine it's in better shape than mine was.

You make some valid points DT502001... and it can be dangerous for shod horses on pavement... if you do more than walk. It's hard on them (shod or not) from what I understand. I lived in a tiny one stop light town growing up so there were plenty of horses around, but we didn't ride much on the roads. Amish country still has folks riding on the roads. Been a long time since I was there, but I doubt they've moved to cars.

From my perspective it looks like you listed the engine number as 574.xxx and the spec sheet Nev posted lists that number as a 1976 DT400C. So that would be the engine model based on the 574 prefix. Maybe I misunderstand. ?? What's the original question? I've lost sight of it amidst the raucous. (she said playfully not meaning offense to anyone)

IDK how those headlights are set up so this may sound really dumb, but is there a way to adjust the level of the beam? But my guess is, because the high beam level is good, it's probably pointing where it should.
