    Any Instagramers?

Thanks Drewpy! We had way too much fun drinking bolli-stoli (well, cheap champagne and stoli) and taking some lovely photos. Although, I was way outta my comfort zone wearing a sarong and heels at the farmer's market. I LOVE Ab Fab! You folks have some of the BEST comedies and programs (French & Saunders, the young ones, Father Ted, Shameless, fawlty towers, doc Martin... The list goes on and on). It's just a shame we only get to see them as reruns, but at least we get to see them. I'm uncertain about how tame the new Ab Fab movie will be though... Patsy and Edina were never really "family-friendly" material what with all the drugs and drinking (which was hilarious), but even if they do tone that down I'm sure it'll still be brilliant!
  2. I think the weight differences are for temperature differences. Seems like 10w/40 covers a wider range (from 10 below to around 45C IIRC).
  3. welcome aboard!

    Any Instagramers?

Thanks Malleus! You're absolutely wonderful! You can find my sister on Instagram @trtlduv13 and then "heart" (like) our Ab Fab photos and feel free to add any comments you like. I know it's a long shot, but it's definitely worth a try. And thank you again!!
  5. Hi all! My sister and I have entered a contest for a trip to NY to see the Absolutely Fabulous movie premiere. I'm curious if anyone here (who's on Instagram) would be willing to check out our pics and vote for us? Hope you don't mind my blatant soliciting. Please feel free to delete if I'm out of order. I'll add more info if anyone's interested. One of our pics
  6. Have you done a VIN search just to double check the manufacture date? Maybe the folks at Virago help forum have seen your model. ?? Edit- I just came across this page https://yamahaclub.com/forums/topic/33407-new-member-from-alberta/#comment-187920 and it doesn't look like his model has a filler cap on the upper tank... so maybe it's a fake one like yours? 1987 model
  7. I've just got the standard pegs... they've been alright by me. Sorry... I'm no help at all.
  8. hiya! Welcome aboard! I've got a 2014 model... but you won't see me around as I'm in the states. I think it's an incredibly fun bike... great around town and enough umph on the interstate for me.
  9. welcome aboard! Sounds like the guys have given you some great advice. Reading the manual is the first step in really getting to know your bike.
  10. welcome aboard! Seems I've read the XV535 has a fuel tank under the seat that the top one feeds into. Did a Google search and came up with 13.50 liters or 3.57 gallons fuel capacity (if it's the same bike). Link
  11. Congrats! and welcome aboard! Assume everyone is out to kill you... whether or not it's accidental. Have fun!

  15. Oh the places you'll go!
  16. Yep, she'll need pegs if she's to ride pillion. I'd suggest getting her on her own bike.
