  1. sounds like your float bowl valve has stuck closed, try blowing down the fuel feed to the carb. Alternatively make sure its back together the right way round and that the float height hasn't been changed when cleaning. Have you checked fuel is coming out of the tank? I know it sounds daft but I've had a few bikes that after being stood for a while block the fuel switch when put back into use
  2. barrels worn/needs a re-bore out is the usual one for only starts with fuel down the barrel
  3. Morning/afternoon All, as you may have guessed gfrom log in name thingy my Name's Matt and I'm from Bristol. I recently aquired a XT660 - I think its the z model, 1993? Other bikes I have are Husky 510 te gradually getting to the point where it may run and a ZZR600. I could bore you for hours about the bikes I've had over the years but where's the fun in that? cheers Matt
