    not to mention you need to need to keep checking everything is tight as they shake theyrselfs to bits also their bodywork dont like our salty enviroment that and other things being said your buying a name and a lifestyle me i love them just cant afford one

    well on way home from college(gas training) i decided to rip the shit outa my draggy it was a bit windy but i got a whole 92/93 out the old girl (cant be exact the needle was just by the 90 mark) and it was bloody loud haha my old gs500 was a lot quicker lol but riding a dragstar is not about speed its a statement

    you'll find as you do little jobs around the bike you learn more about it soon you'll give anything a go it was a clutch cable that started me off then it was fork seals once i done them i felt i could tackle anything and i have you go for it keep your manual handy and you wont go wrong

    dam good advice about the keys i found out the hard way now i got a single key with a plastic "safe" cord on it(i was one of those bikers whose key fell out during a run and i lost the thing lol)

    mines a 98 classic with the screen fitted and i cruise at 80 with no problem fastest i've been on it was 90 but as ttask said its hard to be comfortable at that speed with straight throughs mine is more acceleration than top speed

    normally changing a clutch cable for a novice will take about an hour not a difficult task to take on just watch the way it comes off after you've done one you'll wonder why folks pay someone to do it very simple good luck

    drum brakes have a habit of locking up when a bike's not getting used there could be a problem within the drum new brakes methinks would be a good start
