sr 125 performance
hi there, ive finished my sr project at last, its come out pretty good,im having problems with the fueling,i have removed the air box and replaced it with a conical air filter(got it from wemoto for an earlier sr mine is 2000 reg) the carb has a 102 main jet as standard and i was told to increase this to a 120,it ran terrible on full throttle so i tried a 110 it was better but still wasnt right,it runs ok with the 102 jet,i have also modified the exhaust, there was a smaller diameter pipe inside the outer pipe which i have removed and i have fitted a universal slashcut muffler, could the exhaust be the problem for it not running at full throttle? i was hoping to get a bit more perfomance, have i gone to far with the exhaust!i will put a standard one back on if i have to but they look so bloody ugly, please help, its my first project and its gone pretty well other than this

hi there
hi kevinsr125 and oldgitonbike, thanks for your help,i"ve got a haynes manual coming next week, going to have a good read of that,im new to biking, but i"ve got the bug!!!!! pretty mechanically minded,so im going to have a go at sorting a few bits to the engine,eg.valve clearanses, the bike runs pretty good for its millage 30,500,but last owner has"nt looked after it,gave it a really deep clean, took wheels off and got em" sparkling!! took me 3 days, lots of rusty spokes!!! i was thinking of fitting a power air filter, would it make a difference and would the carb need adjusting,
