Hi guys, So as it starts to get colder, I need to get a new pair of gloves that actually stop my fingers from feeling like they are going to fall off! Any suggestions for some winter gloves that aren't too expensive would be much appreciated. Cheers /Steve

Cheers guys, is it going to be easy for me to find the earth wires?

I have an issue with the lights on my XVS125 Dragstar. The headlight and the light in my speedo (and therefore I guess the taillight) seem to dim and brighten randomly, they literally flick between bright and about half brightness as I'm riding along. The only thing that I can guess is that something is partially shorting somewhere but I don't know where to start looking. Could I get some suggestions that an idiot (me) with a multimeter could check to make sure everything is working before I end up paying someone? I also think that the battery is draining down a bit as the starter does seem to chug over slower when starting at the moment, so i'm going to take out the battery and put her on the charger to see what it says (battery was new in July). Cheers mate - I'll get some ordered off the intertron

So I go to get some oil for my bike as I've worked out she is a little low (after finding out where the viewing hole is and getting some to hold the bike up) and I've bought some Castrol Power 1 4T 10w-40. Had a look in the manual and whilst 10w-40 is fine the API should be SE, SF, SG or higher and as this is SJ, I presumed this will be fine. I had a quick look online as I know nothing about API ratings and apparently I shouldn't be using SJ and now I'm just confused. What are peoples recommendations as to the oil I should be using? Hello people, I've been lurking on the site for a month or so looking at threads and thought it was time to sign up and show my face. At the grand age of 32 I've finally decided to give 2 wheels a go and recently took my CBT. I'm now pottering around on a 2001 XVS125 Dragstar and I'm absolutely loving it! I'm sure that I'll have many silly questions as time goes on as I've always previously been car man. /Steve
