    happened to me, was an easy oversight, automatic fail, advisories are down to the discretion of the tester ( one will advise another will fail ) i work in a test station and we've had cars come to us that have failed and theres been nowt wrong with them, just big companies looking to make money on repairs while advertising cheap mot's,

  6. HELPPPPPPPPP As some of you know i have a faulty pick up coil, i can get a universal one with 120 ohm resistance and one with 280 ohm resistance, now the question is the one i have is supposed to have a resistance of 182 ohm - 222 ohm ( haynes figures ) so which one is suitable

    hi, guys, please accept my apologies if this is the wrong section, i desperately need an ignition pickup coil for a 650 dragstar, Fowlers of bristol want £108 + vat and suppliers in US are asking $71 approx £41, i dont mind paying for a part but i also dont like being ripped off , The part number is 4TR 81670-00 can any of you guys suggest a decent supplier in the uk, many thanks in advance Mike.
  10. put the carbs off my other draggy which are good and still same checked resistance off pick up and thats spot on,
  11. have a 650 as you know, anyhow its developed a problem that has totally stumped me, starts and runs fine on tick over, give it a little throttle and it starts to miss, give full throttle and it cuts out, tried the coils, carbs (so its not the fuelling), cdi, plugs, off my other 650 to try and have some idea but still the same, would the coil pick up behind the generator cover cause this prob ??? and ideas would be of great help. many thanks Mike
  12. dont know about electrical problem, but the dust seals are prob the easiest job going, drop your forks out prise the covers out and tap the new ones in gently ...

    is there a brake master cylinder that will replace the original on the 650 of another bike, the front brake is shite on a mates and on inspection the bottom bracket that holds the lever is snapped, looked on the bay etc but they are like hens teeth, cheers Mike

    bloody hell, you lot need to move to wales, i've never paid more than £65 full comp and thats been on 600 hornet, gsx1400 and the draggy, with me and the misses named and me as main rider

  18. vauxhall agila with a GSX1400 engine, be fun to keep the car looking standard though, may open a few eyes at the lights .

    fill it up and put that stuff in from a lawnmower dealer that keeps the fuel alive, in my experience an empty tank turns into a rusty tank inside
