    the bantam is also slowly going together, this had seen better days, just waiting on crankshaft to be trued up and the last part can be assembled.The bantam is a D7

    cdi removed with wire cutters

    Hi folks bought a xj550 partly together partly boxed, year approx 1984 has a 2 point pick up, troubles are the cdi unit was removed with wire cutters and looks if plug was lost can anybody help on what colour cable goes where. Haynes manual not that clear and its for 600cc upwards. I also have 3 cdi units which one should i use. TD14-78A T1D14-05 T1D14-79 any help would be helpful yaminbits

    i feel embarrassed even after just a hi i have purchased a none runner xj550 on further inspection find the cdi unit was removed with wire cutters. which wires go where, and i have a choice of three cdi units T1D14-05,T1D14-79, T1D14-78 which would work
