You do get a lot of bike for the money....no arguments there. But the styling makes it look like some sort of poor streetfighter attempt with loads of tacky plastic. If they'd put that motor into a design loosely based on the Z1/Zephyr styling, then I think they'd have been onto a winner. As it is....well, I have no idea what it's supposed to be. Just put it down to another missed opportunity by Kawasaki. And also ask yourself.....are there any Shitzuki bits in there?

How are bikes more dangerous than a car? You don't walk round a bike dealership and get mutilated by the machines on display. Or if you're in a Honda dealers you don't get assraped by a gang of rampant Deauvilles! Bikes only become dangerous when a rider makes them so. In fact, the Police consider their safest vehicles to be bikes....cos they have the manoevrability and flexibility to get out of situations that a car can't.

It's no more dangerous than sticking your face in a fan, or having your nuts chewed off by a Laplander dibey.

Yeh, they said there was irregularities in my details. If I want to be reinstated I have to send them 4 items as proof of identity. They can go fuck themselves!

It's crazy that you don't get the bikes that we do Scott. And the manufacturers always say..."There's no demand for them!" But how can there be a demand for them unless they're available for sale in the first place?

Good post mate! Like I said earlier, it's a personal choice what people put in. But if you've spent big bucks on a bike, why potentially cut corners on oil just to save a tenner a couple of times a year? That makes no sense to me at all. Just like people who change their oil without changing their filter? Or people who replace their chain without changing their sprockets? Invariably these people are the same ones that will think nothing of spending £100 on a multicoloured Iridium screen though.

You get the new FZ6 though Scott. Though TBH I don't find it as appealing as the originals.

They're still not shipping the XT660's there then. It was only last year they got the Fazer. Still.....plenty of bloated cruisers for them though!

They're right John....you're a Dead Man Walking. I've been riding since 71, not hit the deck on the road since 78, never totalled a bike, never made an insurance claim, and apart from a few minor cuts and bruises I've never been injured. When I point out these facts to dipshits (both bikers and non-bikers)....they all say the same stupid thing.....You've been LUCKY......and your LUCK will run out soon! They just can't seem to grasp the fact that nothing that I do on a motorcycle is down to luck. Maybe luck plays a part in their world.....but it doesn't in mine. 8) I'm no great rider, but I have sufficient intelligence and common sense to know my limits, and the limits of the machine I'm riding. Then I ensure that I ride well within the limits of both.

Big difference from the XJ Alan. Get a ride on one and you'll see what I mean.

Here's the two I had: They're brilliant! 8) Go like stink....though power kicks in at 7K...but still pull OK up to that. Handling.....tremendous. Brakes....R1 calipers....say no more. Comfort.....very good both rider and pillion. Fuel.....average 55mpg. Early model with square fairing has shit lights and rusty downpipes though. The later model with R1 type fairing....those problems are sorted, and build quality is better. Basically a 600 sports in a standard package....and only Group 12 insurance. You probably guessed that I like them! 8)
