I'll recognise you as well Alan....cos I'm yet to see another XT in our part of the world. Do you find that your bike gets ignored by other bikers, but seems to attract the attention of non-bikers?

Some sort of metal monument......cos the picture was taken at the Elan Valley complex of Reservoirs and Dams. The bike was a late 80's Shitzuki...think it was a GSX750F...probably been dumped there!

The motor's really loosening up now....much smoother and more responsive. This week I'll get the oil and filter changed as it's now around 2800 miles. The Metzeler Tourances are scrubbed in....I can highly recommend them. All cleaned and polished (Predator system has really come up well)....and ready to rumble! 8) Here's a few shots I took today in the Elan Valley! Good nick you reckon? 8)

That's the thing with kids axl. When they're little, they run round at 5am in the morning screaming and shouting and waking you up. When they get to teenagers, you're still trying to drag them out of bed at midday.

I've got 5 sons from 2 marriages (27,24,23,16,13), and it's fucking grief all the way!

They've got TV, DVD, VCR, PS2, X-Box, Gamecube, Gameboy, PC.....then they say "they're bored". :roll: I don't want to sound like a grumpy old man, but in my day we had none of those things. There are better things to do to pass the time than take stuff to turn you into a giggling vegetable. Join up to a decent bodybuilding gym and get training hard. You'll feel better mentally and physically, and you'll be more attractive to the ladies with a good body than if you're a creepy little junkie. 8)

As that guy says, Yamaha have consistently been the most innovative over the years. And over the last 5 years (since Toyota put a lot of money in), build quality has improved dramatically.

You know the problem that Southerners have understanding Geordies? Well we can understand them completely. Very similar accents.

Good points Alan! Well you know my views on motorcycling today. Blatant consumerism aimed at the "I want it all and I want it now" Playstation Generation. To be truthful I had much more fun on bikes years ago, but obviously I was younger and less cynical then. But those were simpler times, and if our bikes started...then it was a good day. I'm dissappointed to see the extinction of the UJM's that would do anything, into the various product niche markets of today. So now, if you want to do everything, you have to own at least 3 bikes. Except if you've got an XT of course! 8)

Girls like Yammie love Guys like me! 8) For the younger guys here...make some notes...if you have the ability to make a girl laugh then you have control of the situation.
