What was/is the correct speed for those bends?

That's a maximum speed limit, not a mininum. If it was the minimum you'd never be able to leave Brecon!

NSL on single lane roads is 60 Axl. The scenario is based on single lane cos he hasn't stipulated dual carriageway.

Left of centre positioning for learning possibly. But get behind a Police Motorcyclist and see their positioning (except on RH bends) and you'll find it's just inside the centre line. Anywhere else and you have no visibility behind oncoming cars, you have no escape route, and you run the risk of being T Boned from LH Junctions. Get on a Police Bikesafe course....you'll learn a lot of real world survival stuff from guys who can really do it.

I think it was felt that he had gone beyond the point of being just an annoyance...he had started threatening members and was goading the Mods to ban him. Unless they're seen to act then it's a recipe for "anything goes" like some other places. :roll:

You can dispute the answer as much as you like, but unless you're higher qualified and more experienced than him, then you're wasting your time and deluding yourself. So...here we go! Here's the question...you give me what you think is the answer, and I'll give you Tony's reply later on! You are travelling along a section of road for the very first time in a national speed limit, when you are confronted by a bend or series of bends. Visibility is good, the road is good, the weather is fine and dry and traffic flow is minimal. You decide to go through the bends at 30 MPH, but because the bends are so good, when you exit them you feel that it would be perfectly safe to go a little bit faster, so you turn around and do the same section of road again but this time you do it at 40 MPH. It is still comfortable and you feel that 50 would not be an unreasonable speed so you do it again at 50 and again at 60. On all occasions it was legal, it was safe and at no time did you cause danger to yourself or other road users. What was/is the correct speed for those bends? So....what's your answer?

They were an awful piece of shit...even by Suzuki standards. Not quick, didn't handle, and did about 20 to the gallon. Friend of mine got killed on one too.

Yeah the Motul is very good...that would be my second choice. Silkolene would be third...great lube but can be messy.

Seen a number of them in real life axl....used to work in a Hospital in the 70's. TV is nothing....cos in real life you get the taste of death in your mouth and over your clothes. And initially it takes a long time to get rid of it. Very unpleasant indeed. Yammie will understand what I mean.
