71 for me Alan...I'm considerably younger than you! :roll: FWIW....I've always reckoned that the Kwak triples weren't as dangerous as folklore would have it. I had a 400 and a 500, and they didn't handle particularly well that's true....but they never felt dangerous. Now the Suzuki triples....they were extremely nasty. I had 2 x 380, 1 x 550, and 2 x 750. I hit the deck on one of the 380's and one of the 750's...both down to the evil handling. The 750 incident was a 110mph tank slapper.

Got to admit that I do have a soft spot for Piaggio. I passed my test in 71 on a Vespa SS180. :oops:

I went round an O bend in 1980 and couldn't get off it. I'm still on it now.

Darren....you've repeatedly blamed either your bike or the wind. The reality is you fucked up. Now until you accept that fact and learn from it then you're at risk of doing the same thing again. And next time the consequences could be far worse. Now....tell me what you have learnt from that incident....and tell me what steps you have taken to prevent that happening again? I'm not being harsh on you....but if you were my son, then that's what I'd be asking you. And until I'd got the right answers and seen the right mental attitude, then that bike would go nowhere.
