Doesn't matter what bike you ride DL....in fact a lot of the people with the best bikes are sad wankers trying to "belong". It's what you feel about bikes that matters. You get more respect from Oldschool for riding your type of bike than if you'd just got yourself the latest colour coordinated race rep bullshit! 8)

It's a problem today on all forums (not just bike ones) that people are just so fucking lazy and stupid. If you wanted info on something, what would you do first? Google search! Then maybe you'd get a link to a forum that deals with that subject. Now common sense tells you to do a search on that forum using the search facility. But they don't...they just put up their dumbass question in a new post. So we end up doing the searches for them. You could fill the place up with reference guides, but nobody would search. Your idea is good....but it would be wasted on the terminally gormless I'm afraid. :cry:

The main problem here is that we get beseiged with numbskulls asking daft fucking questions. The Mods and myself have run round in the past and found the info for them, but the people concerned never bother to make any worthwhile contribution to the forum itself after that. So in the end we think...why fucking bother? In principle, what you suggest is a good idea, but it's an awful lot of work to do when you consider the lack of response we've had in the past.

Skyline...you got away easy on this. You've been given a BIG message....so listen to it. A lot of people don't get the big message....they just get Game Over. I can see why your old man was so worried. Now....sort your bike out and make sure it's always roadworthy. And more importantly...sort your head out!

Difficult one for me skyline. Cos I can understand how your dad must feel....and tbh your exploits probably haven't helped your case much. As you know I've got 5 sons from 13-27....and thankfully none of them are into bikes. I have discouraged it tbh. Hypocritical? Yes it is! But I don't want my kids to see the things I've seen. And the roads are more dangerous and busier than they were when I started in 71. You know what I'd do if I was your Dad? Put a sledgehammer through it! Seriously! So think yourself lucky he only wants it out of the house! 8)
