I'm a big fan Scott. I ditched the Deathwings at 800 miles....they were just nasty. For mainly road/light trail duties you can't beat them.

The oil had only done 600 miles but as it had been standing over Winter it seemed a bit thin to me. I won't take any chances so I changed it just to be sure. I'll do both oil and filter around 2300 miles then the next one will be at the 4K service. DSUK is going OK....and gave a new lease of life to Ren's site which was struggling. And yes....Alan's got another B12. No excuse for it IMO!

As you know, I was on 1171 for 3 months with the severe weather here over Winter. Beginning of March I changed the oil and now I'm on 1732. Got about a bit too....even done a few Border raids!

It's shite here too now Alan. We had our Summer last Saturday!

Sounds like a good bike...but not for you. Too old, too big, too heavy, too powerful. Start out on something like a 500/600cc modern standard....Kawasaki 500 twin, Yamaha 600 Seca....or if you want more performance than that, then think about a Suzuki Bandit 600.
