  1. What makes them different from other trikes then? I reckon trikes must be easier than a sidecar outfit - at least they handle the same whether you're going round left or right hand corners!!
  2. I'd definitely go with the TDM from that lot, for comfort and reliability. Also good for tall people!! I'm 6'4" and it was nice to find a bike that fitted!
  3. I'm a "tank full, carbs empty" kind of guy, although my bikes don't really get wintered as I don't have a car! If I'm going to be leaving a bike for more than a couple of weeks, I tend to turn the fuel off (or disconnect the vacuum line) and run the bike till it stops - tends to stop the jets from varnishing up.
  4. That's a coincidence - my nails usually match my boots - black!!
  5. That one probably won't, but this one would: http://www.digital-speedos.co.uk/gear-change-indicator-shift-light-multi-colour-for-vehicles-with-cable-drive-speedometer-127-p.asp It looks to be relatively easy to install and set up.
  6. True enough, but even after a lot of years on a bike, I still occasionally go for a gear that isn't there!
  7. Something like this, you mean?! http://www.ghostbike...-indicator.html
  8. Fair enough. The rules are different in Guernsey, and are also different now from when I started riding!
  9. Do you by any chance work in Brussels?!?!
  10. Welcome in!! :spin2:
  11. Hmmm. Wish I'd read the first version before I met my ex-wife!!
  12. Forgive my ignorance, but is there a limit on what cc you can ride after doing the DAS? If not, have a look at the TDM850 - they come up quite cheap. Good reliable bike, and very comfy. If you go that way, try and get the 2nd Generation (made late 1996 onwards, preferably as late as possible, 1999-2001 ish), as there were improvements made from the first gen, particularly the firing angle of the motor. (Changed from 360° to 270°). If you can squeeze the budget far enough, you may even get an early 900. If not, try and replace the standard exhaust with a Lazer or Micron race system - the power difference is astounding!
  13. Ooh, do I detect the bitter voice of experience there Karleigh?!
