  4. i think this is possably the best way to make more people look at your parts. Advice - Good Photos displaying part for sale. For example, see below link for someone usign this advice to sell headlights http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-MOTO-GUZZI-HEADLIGHT-BOSCH-NOS-fits-most-Moto-Guzzi-motorcycles-NEW-NEW-NEW-/110897483871?hash=item19d201505f&item=110897483871&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr Matt
  5. i sometimes get a similar problem on my xj. sometimes does it - sometimes doesnt. if it does, i usuall put it into second. give it a little push and let the cluth out, jsut enough for the engine to try and turn over - then when i pull the cluth in and and press the starter it works . . .strange
  6. i use bt45's on my xj, and they have never gave me any problems, think pirelli sport/speed demon's fit aswell. my last sets were dunlops but they never really seamed to warm up properly . . i wud recommend the bt45s

try http://www.cheap33bhprestrictorkits.com/ however, it is still a grey are if you can fit one yourself or if you need to go to a dealer and pay £220+ for a few washers and a bit of paper . . its a scam ! congrats on passing your test btw the 2 years restriction is a long, slow and painfull few years . . trust me !

  14. did you have a good day ? there was bikers came up from pershire for this event, and the ride was only about a mile and a half to get to the park from where we met ! haha was a really good day weather wise of it like
  15. Is anyone in the Morayshire Area goign to the rotory club's motorfun in the cooper park in Elgin on sunday? usually quite a good turnout of bikes, and cars. Im Hoping to take the BSA Bantam with me, Providing it passes its MOT tomorrow morning! haha if not, time to get the sorvol autosal out for the XJ600n! haha
  16. shit load of WD40, or similar, and an impact screwdriver . . for the bots put yer spanner on and use a metal pole to make a bigger lever and just put all yer weight on it
  17. i hope she got another go for free after that . . .
  18. just seems to do it after i have ridden 60+ miles i have removed all the breather and cleaned them, replacing the ones that were cracked. seems to be if i block the one at the bottom of the engine, it just comes out the other one and drips onto the engine . . making it very hard to ride when you surrounded by a dence cloud of thick smoke :L think i will have to attatch a shampoo bottle at the end of it. oil level has always been kept at the middle of the sight glass, and following the owners manual when doing full oil changes
  19. well, the harley (brand new) wud save money on MOT's, plus hopefully wudnt need anything done for the, being new, and im pretty sure it comes with a harley warrenty and brakedown cover. . . old man used to have a trident t150 . .1975 i think ? that was a nice bike
  20. i was out for a ride at the weekend, and had a shot of one of a friends friend, granted it never kept up with your sportys, and sports tourers, but unlike the people on there r6's he wasna in pain after he got off haha. there actually really comfy and a nice size, but as someone said, they do get a bit pricey . . 350 for the fuel gauge as an optional extra ? WFT! think i may have to reconcider . . but they are really nice bikes . . . .if i had the money, and insurace wasnt gonna be a problem i would fork out for an older harley, but i cant afford that :/
  21. i'l see if i can get ym camera mounted and take a vid of me gan tae work and back
  22. what kidna speed were you doing in the first 1 min 20 seconds ? i used to ride like that till i got pulled over for "dangerously weaving in and out of lanes" apparently filtering is only meant to be done when traffic is moving between 0 and 10 mph. . . . sod that ! haha
  23. what like are the bikes maintence wise? i've heard a few people say these bikes are pretty much maintenence free, but others say there forever needing something done - what could i expect?
  24. theree was a feew cupple o' year old ones for around 4000-5000 price range, but when i can buy a brand new one for 2k more is it worth that? but i dont fancy buying a second hand one that someone else has made there own - i wand the basic bike, than i can change in any way "I" want

i have an XJ600n, and it takes 2.4L from oil change, without a new filter, and i usually use 10w40, check the thread with the manuls and you'll find out more reliable info there Matt
