Separate Starter Switch
Wrong type of switch, you need a push to make switch not a toggle switch.

HELP!!!! my bike wont start :(
I'm with Slice on this, charge the battery then YOU know its charged fully, don't rely on someone else saying its charged. Alternatively if you have access to a car and some jump leads you can try that but don't start the car, just try the starter with it connected. ** Posts passed while I was typing....

Dragstar steering lock
Mine needs a bit of a wiggle of the bars, basically as you turn the key you need to slightly pull the handlebar so that the forks are not at full lock and then it should lock, just make sure you have not gone to the second lock position which also puts on the side lights. But not sure if the 125 has the second lock position.

Old fart
Welcome I move about a bit in the lane when I see cars at a junction, small bit of weaving can make you more noticeable but not always. Have fun and be safe

Sissy bar
Good information from DT there, bolts with the thread all the way are actually called set screws. I work in the fastener industry, we actually make Steel/Stainless steel nuts so I have easy access to new Nuts, Bolts & Screws when needed. If you cant find what you need locally let me know the size you need as I may have something laying around here.

Oil leak can anyone help me ?
Cheers for that, will be taking a look next week, seems like a nice simple fix, my bike is a 1998 with only 7,000 miles on the clock so it would make sense its an age related seal problem.

Oil leak can anyone help me ?
I also have a very small leak from around the same area, still haven't pinned it down yet though as its very slight, pea size dot on the floor when its hot after a ride.

Silverstone MotoGP 2014
Tickets have just arrived, full weekend ones in Becketts stand including a parking pass, the wife has managed to get Sunday off work so we are definitely going for the actual race and hopefully I may be able to whizz over on the bike on the Saturday. I have not been to Silverstone for years, used to do classic car racing and the traffic getting in through the village was terrible, anyone have any idea what its like now with the new roads so I can plan what time to set off?

Nothing to do with bikes? CAT story
Hairy Biker, or is it a Cooking Fat ? Can't be doing with Cooking Fats, there are about 8 or the things in our cul-de-sac, they crap in our front garden, scent mark on the front bumper of our van, if I let our dogs do that I would have the dog warden round or be fined. At least the Staffies keep them out of the back garden, although our poodle/Yorkie cross is smaller than some of them she also keeps them out.

Silverstone MotoGP 2014
Silverstone is only about 45 minutes from where I live so don't need digs as we are only 15 miles from Northampton. Its just short notice that's causing the doubt on if we can go, if I had won one of the later game rounds it would have been tickets to next years, but as that is now going to be in Wales that would also be a problem. Doh! Mind you until the tickets turn up I am still in the dark as to which day, as assuming its is just the Sunday race day.

New seat for draggie!
Nice seat, I always think that some lower back support would be nice, I have the classic so would need to look at a different one to yours. I have looked at ordering some saddle bags from the Motorcycle Superstore but as they were in the good ol USA I wasn't sure if you would get stung for duty and VAT once it got to the UK on top of what they charge? Also I like the look of your saddle bags, can you tell me what make they are and where you got them from?

Silverstone MotoGP 2014
Whipee, Just found out I have won two tickets to this years Silverstone MotoGP. I entered the MCN Fantasy Road race competition, I was top of the list for the first few races but didn't realise until I got an email yesterday that I had come top in the first Game round as I wasn't really looking at the emails I was getting with the results. Only thing now is working out the logistics to see if me and the wife can actually go... Any one else going?

Haircut
He looks very much like our Maggie who is a Yorkie crossed with a Poodle.

125 dragstar fuel guage ?
IIRC the only bike I have had a fuel gauge on was the XJ600, as already said use the trip meter each time you fill up, and the mark one eyeball peering through the filler while sploshing the tank also works.

REV REV REEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVV...??
I have noticed some cars do this as well, mainly the little ones that have had there exhausts swapped for a drain pipe with drivers wearing baseball caps the wrong way round.

650 Dragstar project
Simple way to hide the chrome on the forks, get some black rubber gaiters, or possibly the shrouds from the classic forks would fit, and you could paint them.
-
650 Dragstar project
It will be the chrome inner stations, you could possibly get the black chromed.

2009 V Star Classic (XVS650) Starts, Idles & dies
You will get more answers if you go to the new members section and do a intro first. Are you sure you are pulling the choke all the way out?
