Yes, you should be pleased! These are one of the most under rated bikes of all time. The YZF750R is one of the best handling bikes ever! and with one of the best sportbike ergonomics as well! I personally like the suspension to be taught, or stiff. Keep tweaking it until it is the tightest you feel comfortable on / with. It will handle and feel like you are on a luxury ride! A jet kit will bring the beast out of the 750 motor. Enjoy!

Hello All, I'm doing some experiments with FZR 1000 / YZF 750 motors. Trying different combinations of cams, gearing, etc. and need extra motors to play with. If anyone has a motor for sale, a YZF 750 or a FZR / YZF 1000, preferably in the Southern California region, please let me know. Plan is to put the motor into a YZF750R since I find that to be one of the most comfortable bikes ever, and handles like a dream too! I've also heard that an '03-'04 YZF-R1 motor fits that frame. Any thoughts? There are a few articles about these types of conversions and I am familiar with them. I'll be posting the results of my findings if anyone is interested. Thanks!

Hi Steve-o, That's a nice bike, Congrats! The ebay CDs that I have tried so far have been scans of Yamaha's (or others) own workshop manuals, sometimes reformatted to prevent copyright issues. Make sure it is actually a 'Service Manual', and not just a 'Parts List' which only tells you what parts make up your bike and nothing about what to do with them! The original manuals, as I'm sure you know, cost quite a bit more and even the Haynes and Clymer service manuals cost several times more than the ebay copies, so its not a big investment, but as always, ' Buyer Beware' applies. BTW, what is a 'nemby'? I'm familiar with 'newbie'. Possibly an acronym for NEw MemBer? Keep the rubber side down!

Hi xjwoods, The only difference I know of is that the '92 has a different top fairing and a single light where the '94 has the same top fairing and the dual headlights that the original FZR600 had. Only '91 and '92 had the single headlight. Everything else I think should be the same, unless I'm mistaken. I believe they are mechanincally identical. Had a '93, Great bikes!, weak suspension. Progressive fork springs, a Dynojet kit and a Supertrapp slip on made a huge difference. Rear shock was barely good enough. Good luck with the project!
