barn find, what's it worth?
as its 24 yrs old then keep it till its 25, when it becomes classic. values depend on markets it no ones intrested in that model then its worthless, but if its sought after then its valued much higher. look to see what others are selling at and if its mint you know its worth more than the ones on sale. but ive a few 70s jap bikes that are cheap as anything but on the other hand i was offered £4500 for one of my ty50ps as they are rare ( and 30 yrs old ). what you have to ask is what do you want from it, is it financial or would you be happy riding it or as with me would you do the rounds of shows with it.

daisy bike day
sorry ok a little letter from Allan whos organising this event DAISY BIKE DAY ( A BIKERS CONVENTION.) 19/8/2007 Beaulieu 10 am to 5pm. Discounted admission for the Daisy appeal £10.00 £5.00 of the admission costs to go to the Daisy appeal. The new event will be the Daisy Bike day, a bikers convention as the Old Daisy run that took place up to three years ago was impractical to resurrect although the team tried hard and had support from the local councils and police the numbers were to vast and modern legislation was just to much. We asked a few venues if the could help and Beaulieu have offered us their full support. We can have FULL use of their facilities park our bikes inside the museum grounds, ( this saves a lot of walking in leathers ). Cars can still use the ordinary car parks. Beaulieu are providing, security, their facilities including museum, Palace House, all of their exhibits, the full grounds, help with publicity, and a massive discount on the overall admission price. This has enabled us to hold this event and we should still make a large charity donation. We hope that groups will ride together from clubs and dealerships to have fun but avoid the traffic problems caused by thousands of bikes arriving together. We are planning trade stands, concourse contests the Beaulieu go carts will be running food stalls are on site, we can network other groups meet old friends chill out and enjoy the facilities. ( Trade stands 12X15Ft can be had for a minimum donation of £50.00 Traders, clubs, clothing suppliers and other bike related organisations can have a stand or block of stands ) We hope to have some celebrities there. Radio Solent will be there. We anticipate Southern TV attending. The money raised will go to THE DAISY APPEAL WESSEX CANCER TRUST and is urgently required. The gamma camera used in the new treatment used when I had my bone marrow transplant after chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukaemia was old and over worked. The new one is now being installed but we still need to find some of the funds for it. WESSEX CANCER TRUST have in this years Daisy Appeal drastically improved the Isle of Wight Chemotherapy facility to save people having to cross from the island to have Chemo and then travel back when they feel pretty awful. They have provided a respite holiday home in Weymouth for cancer sufferers to take a short break between treatments just to get away from their worries and relax with their families as much as they can all this and providing funding for the Gamma Camera. We hope that you can come and help us have fun. Allan. please support this event its for a good cause. oh im taking a ty down

daisy bike day
‘The Daisy Bike Day’. August 19th ( sorry ) This ride in bikers convention is hoping to attract thousands of bikes into the Beaulieu grounds while raising vital sums for Wessex Cancer Trust. The day-long event will include bikes on display in the Arena as well as trade stands and refreshments. This convention is being held in the grounds of the National Motor Museum which means no long walks in leathers! Come to marvel at the bikes or ride in to be part of the display. The day will include prizes for Best In Show as well as best Custom, Classic, Sports, 3 Wheelers and Scooters. Attitude Customs are providing the custome made winner's trophies, which will be made out of a motorbike part. Judging of bikes will take place through the day with the five finalists being displayed on the Arena at 2:30. BBC Radio Solent presenter Charlie Crocker, with the summer roadshow, will then pick the winner from each category and announce Best In Show. There will also be a free prize draw to win over £600 of biking goodies. This event is being organised by Holbury resident Allan Glass who, after successfully battling leukaemia over the last few years, wanted to thank the charity that helped him on the road to recovery. Allan, 62, hopes the event will raise thousands of pounds towards the £350,000 cost of the Gamma-CT camera for Southampton General Hospital. Admission: Convention participants on a motorcycle £10 per person (£5 per child on motorcycle) To save £1 on advance tickets (until 10th August) please call 01590 612888 or visit the Beaulieu ticket page. To apply for a trade stand please email Allan at [email protected] Admission includes entry to The National Motor Museum, Palace House and Gardens, Beaulieu Abbey and The Secret Army Exhibition. Normal admission rates apply to visitors not on bikes. Beaulieu is open from 10am to 6pm. well worth the tenner for a day out and raise money for charity
