Im looking at buying a 2007 yamaha xt 660 supermoto can anyone give me any advice on this bike are they any good for everyday use and motoways etc thanks

im driving a tdr 125 at the min and hav my ibt course and then full licence test comeing up then im goin to upgrade sticking wit yamaha as dont get me wrong ive had a few yamaha bikes and never had problems im even keeping the tdr as its a mint fun bike to drive anyway ive my eye on a 600 fazer but dont really no much about them ?? or do yamaha hav a supermoto type road bike ?

does anyone no wer i could get the fittings to mount a box to the back of my yamaha tdr 123 2003. ???

The funny thing is i drive a car 2 i wud hav bin dry but probly wudnt of made it hme if i was in that ! The misses says i mental for takeing the bike to work in that weather but since the moment i got insured in it i havint stopd drivin it ! I think the car wil b getting sold ;-)

On the drive hme frm work last nite in the dublin floods there was trucks vans car.s stranded everywer sum places car.s wer nearly underwater bt i hav to say my yamaha tdr just kept goin and goin never stalled ounce ! And got me hme in the end . Praise to yamaha for produceing such a great bike and for there reliability ! :-)

is it doin any damage ?

I make the trip to scotland every two months as the missus is scotish we drive in car ;-( she mostly sleeps in the back seat to larne to cairnryan then to lockibre and i hav to say the roads and the country side r just brilliant i cant wait til i get my ibt training course and ful licence test out of the way then its a bigger cc bike . Then she can be on the back and there will b no sleeping as we drive on probely one of the greatest drives il ever go on ! I cnt wait :-)

Wen i start my tdr in the mornings it klunks goin in2 1st gear after that its grand and doesnt happen wen its warmd up jst 1st in the morning .is dis normal ? Also how gud is the gearbox as i dnt want to do any damage etc . I recently dun a gear oil change . Any advise wud b great !

So 3/4 of the bottle is about rite for the tdr ?

it says 730cm2 on the clutch case beside filler cap ! How much wud that b ?

the problem is iv poured 3/4 of a 1litre bottle of gear oil in and its not showing anyting on the sight glass ? Would this b enuf ? 2much or not enuf as i hav no reading ? Thanks

hello all i no ive asked a few stupid questions in the past but at the min my tdr 125 has a problem and ive tried everyting to sort it new spark new oil different petrol cleaned air filther etc bt wen i start it and drive it easy till it warms up it still splutters if u get me till i hit 5 tousand rev then power ban kicks in and shes off is this normal or is there sumting wrng ? also how much gear oil goes into it thanks

Sorry 1 more thing wil i let the filter dry bfore speading the oil on it ?

It says in my tdr manual to remove air filter and clean it and then cover it in 2 stroke and put it back in . My question is how and wit what do i clean it wit and how much 2stroke do i use ?

my tdr splutters in low revs but wen i open the trottle a bit more its goes great any advice what the problem would be ?? am thinking sparkplug but i dunno ...

hi i hav a manual and read it over i jst want to make sure so i dont put the wrnng oil in as the earlier reply the gearbox oil that the shop witch is big in ireland recomended dis for my tdr and is no use ?? dis is y im aking for help here i no wer coolant tank is and wer oil tanks are just want the best for the bike as its bin lyn up 3years thanks

hi i want to change the oil in my tdr 125 its 2003 model ive bought 1ltr of putoline se 80w90heavy gearbox oil ... and 1ltr of putoline ttx 100% synthetic 2 stroke oil for injector and pre mix both wer recomended in bikeworld store 1st are they right for the bike ?? 2nd what oil goes were and how much do i use ? id take it do a shop and get it serviced but really want to get to no the bike and do the job myself i also got sum halfords coolant 50/50 mix wud that do ? any advice would b great thanks

hi my vin is 5an im a bit lost at the min i want to change oil in tdr went to bikeworld to by some good 2stroke but fella behind counter said i need transmission gearbox oil and it does in under the seat i picked up some fully synt 2stroke anyways basiclly wat i want to no is what goes wer how do i drain and how much is needed thanks for the help
