There are 2 ways to have a look inside your engine. 1.you should get the spark-plug out and check it for some damage.When i broke my engine i found like a aluminium powder on the top of the spark plug. 2.you get the carburetor assembly and the reed-valve out. Through there you can see the bottom of the piston and the piston rod. Sorry for not beign more specific. My english is kinda bad...
