  1. Thanks Leath Keeping the bike in the house ...... Hummmmmmm I'd have to move the drugs, stolen car stereo's, hub caps and many many shell suits. I have been out along the backs this morning and found that it will be fine keeping it there I think, so problem almost solved Thanks everyone Camera at the ready :=)
  2. I have found a couple of trade auctions that have bike sales. But both over two hours away from me, Don't really want to go that far without knowing trade prices etc the search continues !!
  3. Thanks lads No chance of befriending a little old woman near me (Been trying that for years, but in the guise of becoming a toy boy :-))) I have been eying up the lampost a few doors away from me to chain my new toy to, It could be that. To be honest, I could have kept it in my back, but we now have gates at all exits (which is great for security) But these are now collection points for wheelie bins, having to move these every morning and night is putting me off... I will see if I can do more with this first Thanks again
  4. I see what you mean about the accident / stolen recovered What about buying at trade auctions, anyone done that?
  5. So, Wanting to buy my first ever bike, will be a dragstar but the only place for me to keep my bike is on the road outside my home (possible on pavement bolted to wall) Its a wide path. This worries me a little as I think about passers by wanting to sit on my new baby, possible theft and anything else that could happen to my bike. What do you guys do, I'm assuming not everyone has a garden etc. The issue of keeping my bike safe outside my place is a real concern and can put me off buying one :-( Thanks
  6. Hello all Wanting to buy my first ever bike and having bought cars at auction / stolen recovered, Im thinking of the same for my bike has anyone ever gone down this route, where are the bike auctions, recovery yards and what experiences did you have. Are the savings worth doing this? Thanks
  7. Putting pictures of my new bike here will only help the police recover it :-) Thanks again
  8. Thanks for your help mate Nice bike but I have in my mind that I want a black one, Otherwise I'd pull on my tight perm wig, stick on my tache and shell suit and be down for a test ride :-)

Hello all I have been lusting after a Dragstar Classic for years now and although passed my test 3 years ago, never got around to it (other things cost money :-( But I am looking now, I was thinking of a 650, but would it be a big jump to go direct for a 1000 or am I just being daft there. Would a 650 have plenty of power, I really have no idea and don't want to get a 650 then deciding to upgrade Also, I have limited mechanical knowledge really, id like to service myself, but in the meantime what are the service costs on these machines? And what sort of mileage do you get I guess im looking for any info a new bot would need before buying his first ever bike (well I did have a Chinese cruiser for 3 months when learning... lets forget about that though :-) I feel like a kid in a sweetshop just looking through these threads, imagine what I will be like with a bike Thanks
