I just picked up a pretty clean 1988 DT50 and I am looking to change the ignition so that I can run 12v lights (and hopefully get some more revs with an internal rotor). I found an ignition and it is compatible with the Minarelli AM6 motor. Does my 1988 have that motor? I am in the US and from what I can tell these bikes were only imported from 1988-1990. After 9,892,021 google searches I think the AM6 was used on the DT50 R and not my bike. Is this true? Does anyone know a good ignition that I can use on my 1988 DT50 (US)??? thanks
