  1. I actually enjoyed that.
  2. I like the look of that too, but id say not to cover up the battery etc, i personally like the bare minimum look but just make sure its all water proof in some way. After looking through his thread i actually liked it more naked. you would have to move the clocks up or get a nice set of didgital clocks and a new set of smaller double head lights but i think that would look wicked. Should be a good project
  3. Yer its a nice 15kg vice i got from work, one of the "office" folk was told to order a small vice to go on a pillar drill........ ...........hmm this one you need two hands and the old Frank spencer "Bend the Knees Betty!!" walk just to move the thing. JD strike pad is just a beer mat the i glued on so a bit of bling, and its quite good at keeping small items stable when correcting with a hammer Yer im hoping to have a little bit of fun with it whilst buildign it and then once its built but the quicker i get it out my way the better i think. Still not found the pissing keys tho
  4. Just testing out their response times?? practice makes perfect maybe? or they are just pissing about with there so called new grit lorries.
  5. Yer it's dinky, can pick it up with one hand

  8. Well after the abuse from Tommy here is the thread on the little 50cc scooter i picked up on Wednesday for £35, i only took three photos of it last night as i was doing the forks on Betty as well so i will get some more pics later tonight for you all. She is a Peugeot Trekker 50 in black and red with a shit load of mud and moss (yes i did say moss) got 24k on the clock no tax or MOT and so far ive not come across the keys, and when i asked him if he had them he said yes........some where in that pile. Plan of action is to get this tarted up as best i can with a budget of £100 and then sell it on for a profit (as best i can) so i can put some money into Betty. Here is the engine.......well........if you can call some thing you lift in one arm and fits nicely onto the computer table in your shed an engine Bit of Moss?? And as you can see the paint aint great at the moment Lets get going

Na sorry mate as they are pitted too. I've found a set that will do but are £50 which is half my budget blown all ready ha ha. Just been out there tonight and checked out the engine and it's spot on! Very grubby on the out side but nothing a wire wheel and some paint won't fix.

    The other project

Its a Peugeot Trekker 50cc cant get on ebay at work but i want to spend as little dosh on it as possible to keep my profit reasonable. Im going to sell it on Tasky its just one on those things to bring some more dosh into the bobber build and i might finally treat the wife to those flowers she's wanted for about 2 years.
  13. Well i picked up this little twist a go last night, the guy (well little boy) i got it off of was a bit of a cock, 18 yrs old but going on 28 in a street gang type! but kept every thing civil. Took me out to his back garden pointed and said its over there and went to walk back in, but i said i wanted him to tell me about it etc etc. Any way after getting it in the car and having a quick look over it while taking it through the house i gets it home to the cave for a much better looking over. I have bits and bobs in tins and ice cream tubs (with rain water) engines not siezed but im taking the head off tonight to see if the piston has punched its way throught the top or not. My biggest gripe is the forks, the chrome on the legs them selves are pitted and it rubs and hitches when you compress them. Can these be sorted out cheaply (ie under £50) or will i need to find / buy new forks? so far this is my falling point right from the word go as i dont want to be sat with this heap for too long. Many thanks guys and gals. Noisey
  14. Best to put it in a place where you think it will catch the best fottage either that being a SMIDSY or some spot on riding from you nutting it round some twisties. As long as your sure its not coming off and maybe best to give it a few slap tests then all is gravy
  15. Not very hard matey, should just be two or poss three bolts and a few wires. Un bolt it, pull it away, un plug and then reverse that when sticking the new one back in. You may need to remove a few covers to find the bolts

    My Bobber project

Have to look at it later mate as E-bay is banned at work. Ive gotta up date some more pics which ill do tonight as ive done a tiny bit more to her now. Finally fitted the seat (well mock up wise) done a bit more welding so need to clean up them tonight, then i can finish off all the other little bits that need welding then the frame can go off to powder coat. Only a small shopping list to buy for her now: New chain for sissy bar New metal Rear mudgaurd Mini Speedo Small Switches New Head light Front Tyre Brake pads Braided brake line Number plate braket and number plate. Tax and MOT So if all goes well should be on the road in time for the weather to turn back. O and im picking up this little 50cc bike tonight so im hoping it aint going to take much to get that sorted
  17. Very Good laura!! my only gripe is the bolts, lets all your hard work down IMO should really get shot of them and slap in some stainless bolts. But have a big pat on the back and a Jack D on me!
  18. Not even if you have the squits and a funnel?
  19. We got patches and T-shirts but don't do stickers. Foamy is the T-shirt dude (dont order the mankini tho) and i think its Dirty DT that does the patches
  20. Remember to post an intro in the new members section as you will get shitty welcome other wise Ha ha

    Freezing!

If the cage is there ill use it, plus the bike is still in bits.
  22. What could car drivers do better to make the roads safer for motorcyclists? Pay less attention to there gadgets and crap in the car and more attention to the road, changing the radio station is less important than avoiding a side on shunt from a bike or another car. Where do you get riding tips from, other riders, forums, government advertising? Friends, forums and other bikers List 5 words which would describe how you think car drivers see you? Loud, stupid, annoying, cool, shouldn't be on the road How would you like them to see you? Just another person getting to work or having fun on there hard earn cash What’s the best part about riding? Freedom of the ride What’s the best part of the riding community? Banter and that everyone has the same interest If you could tell drivers 1 thing, what would it be? If you dont want me to touch your kids dont force me through your windscreen!!!

    Freezing!

Yep pretty darn cold this morning but once the heater kicked in on the cage all was nice again
  24. Simple way to check the wires for the horn, get an old working indicator conect it up to the horn wires and push the button, indicator should light up if it does then your horn is at fault. If it dont light up then you have a wireing problem. If you aint got a spare indicator either remove one off the bike for two mins or find another spare light with wires thats to hand
